Donny does the thing that we miss every time we play. Passes then moves. Must be some Dutch thing or something. He reads the game so well.even when he's not looking to receive the ball,he's often telling the person with the ball, where the next pass should be. One of life's greatest mysteries this....

I thought Donny looked very bright when he came on. Made an absolutely crunching tackle as well which was great to see. As Viking above said, hopefully a run of games and goals, plus a trophy, might help Edi stay. And what on earth does Axel have to do to get a run of games? Its good news that Cavani is getting goals at this point in the season because it is a crunch period. Its at this point of the season that you need your squad. This trophy has to be the priority right now, its there to be won.

Fantastic that it’s Cavani. I’d back him over any of our players to take that one chance in a tight game. You need that to win trophies. Look at the Sevilla semi last year. Martial in particular missed 2 great chances to put us ahead when we were well on top.

They are the players the get a club on the right side of the fine margins that separates top sides that win trophies to the sides like spurs,Everton,1990s Liverpool and pre oil money Chelsea where always like(nearly but not quite). that’s why I made those comments on greenwood the other night about not being 100% sure if he’s going to be a top player or a good player(I think it’s in his locker to be a top player but it’s up to him to improve each year and get there)

If Greenwood doesn’t make it into an elite player we might as well shut the academy down. The guy is as close to a sure thing as we’ve produced in decades.

Indeed he is but it’s more than just raw talent he has to keep his head in the right place and feet on the ground. as I said on the other thread let’s see how he goes over the next 3-4 seasons

More than Sancho had the same age. He's superb. Obviously anything could happen. But he's on a different level to anything we've produced in a long time.
