I’m done moaning about this now I want us to start using our anger in a positive fashion to try and stop this. Yes it’s bows and arrows against the lightening but I’m not going to feel good about myself if we don’t actually do something as fans. I fucking love this club, I’ve made friendships because of this club, I’ve cried over this club, I’ve embraced strangers over this club and I’ve bled for this club (Porto away). Let’s hear some ideas because I’m open to anything. The obvious place to start is boycotting the games on TV and in person when we start up, unfollow our social media and stop buying their merchandise.

Maybe something like this that has never been done before and would send a big message? Think some real action needs to be taken by supporters and this not to remain only online outrage.

They’ve timed it perfectly with the pandemic. Really limits what we can do on the ground without having them spin it

Good thread, the responsibility rests on all of us and we need to do whatever we can, however we can.

I knew my social media unfollowing and cancellation of my Membership would tip the balance in our favour

I suggested a petition on the Greed League thread...I think it might take legislation for the clubs to adopt the 50+1 rule...
Anyone know for sure how 50+1 can be put in place?
Is it the government or the FA?

Anyone got a couple billion laying around? I think that's what it will take, cold, raw cash is what it's gonna take. Implementing laws that make the football clubs a less attractive investment might slow down the invasion and push current owners like the Glazers to look for buyers but reality is it's gonna cost alot of money. The biggest issue with the Glazers amongst other things is that there are more than one that own shares. If you were dealing with one person you probably get more sense, the reality is that they all have different agenda's and those that like the club are far outvoted by those that just see it as a business cash cow. With that being said money is the common language they share, just that some are more fluent in it

The only way is to not renew season tickets & membership, cancel MUTV subscriptions & stop buying merchandise.

The only way is to not renew season tickets & membership, cancel MUTV subscriptions & stop buying merchandise. Great idea but it would need a huge percentage of fans to do it...and nobody stepping in to take their place...
