No-one cares what the journeyman mediocrity Charlie Austin thinks. AWB has issues in the final third but you generally can’t fault his defensive abilities.

They're right about him not being able to do anything in the final third.
But did I catch Austin saying he can't defend? Behave. He's the best defensive right back in the league and top 3 in Europe. Overall he might be good if not great, but at the job he is asked to perform he's one of the best in Europe.

I’m not sure who posted but I think it rings true, Ole bought AWB with the promise that the board would deliver Sancho, who would cover up any of AWB’s weaknesses in attack. Now that it’s finally done, AWB won’t need to maraud cluelessly into the final third, he can focus on his strengths. Also the thought of Varane playing alongside him, pace to no end for both. Good luck to teams breaking us down on the left!

Also not great in the final 3rd. Not rocket science to see how we would benefit with Trippier's delivery on the right or even giving that young lad Dalot a chance. Bet AWB is hoping we get QPR in the cup
