By no means a perfect performance but fuck me I enjoyed that! 2 goals for Cristiano, a screamer from Bruno and a wonderful 4th from Jesse.
BTW I love Varane. Get serious Rio vibes from him, not just his football but his demeanour on the pitch.

Weird this whole obsession with VdB. Me either. He isn't going to start ahead of Pogba or Bruno and he's not a No.6. Play him as a No.6 and he doesn't perform and Ole will get criticism for playing him out of position. I feel for Donny I do but I don't see what else he can do. I'd give him a good run in the cup comps see how he gets on there though. |

Wasn't the performance I was hoping for but that'll do nicely. That first Suuuiiiii had the hairs on my neck stand up. So much for him being past it.
Made up for Jessie aswell with that goal. Lovely finish from Bruno aswell. But annoyed we conceded and the defending leading up to it, especially the positioning was horrific but I'll take that all day long.
Top of the league 😏.

He's not on Bruno's level and Pogba to his credit is playing well at present, you wouldn't play him there at the moment. He should have left because he's not one of those players who's going to make a big impact from the bench and swing a game like a Cavani. 5 minutes here and there isn't going to do much for him. It's impossible to know how good he is or could be. |

I’d just love to see those ABU gobshites like Sinclair, ‘Mystic’ Merse ,Keown, and that terminal twat Chris Sutton shut the fuck up for a while if nothing else.

It's a shame we cocked up against Southampton really. We still aren't there. Just need to be quicker up top. Matic made a big difference and it's a shame he's too old as a younger Matic would be just what we need. Does AWB know the meaning of 'goal side?' Another crap goal conceded. Harry Maguire didn't need to dive in like he did.
Oh and Saint-Maximin should be doing better than Newcastle.

Fair fucking play to Lingard by the way. Gets a lot of stick but he was superb for West Ham last year and if he can keep that up and enable us to rest the other attackers from time to time, then I can live with him being here.
Put it another way, I'm glad he stayed over Dan James and if Martial is a viable option in this squad then I'd sooner have Lingard than him too.

The big difference between Martial and Lingard is you can never criticise Lingard for putting the effort in. Glad the lad is back to focusing on his football so see how he gets on. Played well in midweek for England and took his goal well today so made up for the lad. |
