I don't think we've been that bad today. Not as good as we should be, but much better than the Villa, Young Boys or West Ham games. The problem has been some sloppy defending (mainly on the counter, not just their goal) and again struggling to break down a low block. But we've overall been better at retaining the ball and at least asking different questions when we go forward.

The problem has been some sloppy defending (mainly on the counter, not just their goal) and again struggling to break down a low block. But we've overall been better at retaining the ball and at least asking different questions when we go forward. That's the frustrating part. For large parts we've been decent. But we don't half make the simplest of tasks look 10x more difficult. We're too one dimensional and predictable. Teams know the best way to deal with us is get everyone behind the ball. We can't break teams down enough. |
