I don't see us getting smashed. I think it will be death by a thousand cuts unfortunately over the next month or two

Nothing like being the first game of the weekend to fuck up the rest of it. You mean if we win right, with a Maguire last min bullet header? I'll take the 8-0 loss now Essentially, yes. A crack-plastering win or non-humiliation loss.

Reflects well on our newly appointed set piece coach & also bloke that decided to appoint him. Rather ironically Shaw & Maguire combined to score from a corner for Ingerlund this season, but it's not the standard coaching at Carrington holding this talented squad back

Bailly saved Ole from a battering against Atalanta, so it only makes sense that Ole will now fail to reward that performance and start an unfit Lindelof instead.

His work on set piece defending has been good, Maguire’s horror show against Leicester aside. Varane obviously has made a huge difference, in that he’s an actual defensive leader. No one can coach our lot to score from them however.

I really feel for the guy we brought in to coach our set pieces. Imagine trying to drill good habits into our lot.

Its amazing how we manage to score so few from set pieces , especially for a squad with so many tall guys (scott , maguire, varane , cavani ,matic and ofcourse ronaldo). We should be a terror to defend against in set pieces.

I honestly think if we had peak Beckham this lot would still only score 3 a season from headers.

I can't believe OGS has revealed his tactical master plan in his presser for the Derby, the world & Pep know we are going to try & start on the front foot!

Like MLK, I had a dream.
Unlike MLK, this dream had a 7 in the score line.
Now that I've put it on 'paper' I doubt it will come to pass. lets see if it's as bad as I envisioned it.

I think this is going to be another embarrassment. At least 3-0. They are going to tear us apart. Our clueless defense will be running in circles.

I maintain that Vidic would’ve been a 15 goal a season man if he had the headed opportunities Maguire gets. You can bring in whichever set-piece coach you want but it’s fuck all use if Harry is still going to attack every header with the grace and technique of Ralph Wiggum torpedoing through a window.

I think we’ll get a football lesson tomorrow and get well beaten.
