I would have said Rodgers but this Leicester team seem to be in the same free fall pattern we’ve been in. Zidane doesn’t seem interested in a full time position so is it really worth pursuing it? Ten Hag would bring tactical nous but the entire set up at Ajax plays a big part in how they play, will he get the same at United? Obviously, all of them are a better option than Ole but they are more likely to just become cannon fodder for our clueless ownership.

Even when Spurs sacked the manager prior to getting Conte, a caretaker was in charge. It’s just what happens. I think people need to move past the Fletcher thing. He’s not going to be the new manager so perhaps use that energy some place else,

Even when Spurs sacked the manager prior to getting Conte, a caretaker was in charge. It’s just what happens. I think people need to move past the Fletcher thing. He’s not going to be the new manager so perhaps use that energy some place else, Thanks. Spurs appointed Conte and his team the day after Nuno got the bullet, it was only due to Conte and his team having to get the correct documentation to come into the coutry and take over that forced Spurs to appoint a very short term interim. Provided that the club act fast and get someone in within the next 2 weeks then an interim is acceptable but Spurs were decisive as were Chelsea and had already decided who was taking over before removing the previous failures. |

Conte was the obvious choice. Completely agree that with Zidane, Ten Hag, Rodgers there are major question marks but of course they are all markedly superior to Ole.
Obviously Fletcher/Carrick will do nothing to stop the rot. The players have lost confidence not just in Ole but the whole coaching set up. I can see us losing the next three games under their watch but hopefully by then we will have got someone in

What about Jochim Low? I think he is still available or Andre Villas Boas. I dont want Brenda here or Zidane, Brenda woud not be able to control the egos in our dressing room longterm, things are already going wrong at Leicester for him right now and I do not rate Zidane.

Just throwing some other names out there, I actually personally rate AVB as he is a young manager with attack minded tactics and I think if he is properly backed he could do well somewhere.
Zidane has only been at RM as a manager a 2 team league and as much cash as he wants to spend on players, Brenda seems to have problems longterm with man management as he is again now and Ten Hag has a team that plays the Ajax way, a system that works in that league and may or may not work week in week out in the EPL. Conte was most likely the best choice but that ship has sailed. Whoever we get the Club must back him to the hilt as they did Ole. time will tell.

Interim manager to end of the season is the Glazers doing it on the cheap,means they will have to pay less compensation to the club who’s manager they want.
Also means zero transfer spend in January.
Always,always about saving money with these cubts.
