Have we somehow finally made a non braindead decision? Early days but it's looking like it. Reckon it was all don't accidentally. No way these clowns are doing something this sensible on purpose.

Hope Luke is throwing out all his ice cream Has he seen AWB? Maguire Lindelof AWB, plus others, Ralfie has his work cut but it’s desperately needed to turn things around, bring it on.

Rangnick is the best case scenario, I think. Especially if he's sticking around afterwards. Hopefully he'll be DoF in all but name. There are very few people that have influenced football as much as Rangnick this century. His fingerprints are all over some of the top managers in the world, including the last 3 CL winners.

Ralf Ragnick ! excellent move if true , now get those other clowns out and make him the head of football operations. It finally look like we have decided to be a serious football club

I’m shocked that we’ve actually pulled off a smart move. I was dreading Bruce or Hughes on the DNA model, but wow, a complete outsider in Rangnick who seems opinionated and won’t be a glazer patsy.

Very happy with this appointment. not one expected, but a pleasant surprise.
Edit: He speaks perfect English. a very VERY big plus. no lost in translation for Slabhead and Co, having him understand his native tongue will be challenging enough.

Hope Luke is throwing out all his ice cream This was just before Shaw became the best left back in Europe? Or are you conveniently forgetting that too?

This Rangnick story is obviously complete bullshit, because it’s far too fucking sensible an appointment for those clowns on the board to make!

It will be fascinating to see how a proper football man, and a football philosopher, gets to grips with the most undercoached “big club” on Earth. Bring it on.

Rangnick has so far won nothing of note but his teams do play the Highpress like Klopp does so that is a big plus. Many of our team will have to ramp up their cardio training and the way they refuel after games if they want to play. The board will like him as he has shown a profit for the clubs he has managed before. Without a licence to buy and sell as he wants to, he will do no good as the Squad we have at present will not fit his tactics. Time will tell if the board will back him in the transfer market as they did Ole.

Wasn't it Rangnick that wanted the DoF position before he was beat out by the overqualified competition that is Darren Fletcher and his 100% United DNA?

First thoughts are that this is an encouraging development. He has a clearly articulated style of play suited to the modern game rather than a tribute to past glories.
Excited about what this means for the development of Sancho, Rashford, and Mason, as well as some of the younger lads coming up.
It'll be really interesting to see how he adapts his high-pressing style around Cristiano (if indeed he does do that).
Seems like the ideal foundation for someone like Ten Hag (my preference) or even Pochetino to take over next season.
