I would have liked Michael to stay as a youth manager, but that's a step down I guess. Hopefully he goes off and has a great career. 3 games, 2 wins, 1 draw, no defeats. Can't be bad for his rep.
A new era starts. Let's go!

Michael Carrick has been with us 15 years. He seemed to be a quiet lad when he joined. Won the lot and ended up being our manager. Its a nice story. The right decision, but still sad to see him go.

Out of those left probably the one I’d rather stayed tbh.

Maybe he left because he was so invested in the work he did with Ole and didn't want to change because we were "so close"
Thanks for the great times as a player etc, but right time to go IMO, hopefully Phelan and McKenna grow some balls and follow suit in the morning.

Out of those left probably the one I’d rather stayed tbh. Same. I think it may be better for him to go out there and cut his teeth at a lower PL or championship team. we just need that total clear out of the backroom staff and have a bit of a reset. new broom an all that.

Out of those left probably the one I’d rather stayed tbh. Me too, disappointed tbh, felt he had more to offer & also to learn from Ralf but can completely understand his reasons. Wish him all the best in whatever he chooses to do.

Shame about Carrick. I think some have tarnished him for his work under Ole, but who the fuck is meant to realistically flourish under a coach as limited as Ole, especially with it being his first coaching job.
Would have been good for him to stay and work under Rangnick, but fair play to him for having the balls to leave on his own terms.
Same for McKenna, he came with a very good reputation from Spurs and did good work with the U18's, so I'd have no qualms with him continuing in some capacity. Phelan on the other hand should be the out the door today.

I'll judge Carrick by what he does next.
If he gives up the coaching gig entirely he'll cement the notion that he got lucky getting the job here.
I Hope he takes up a new role soon and develops actual coaching skills.

dont know why they bother with Evra he talks rubbish. its ex players etc that will be the downfall of this club spouting the DNA bollocks. times change move on. Hope Carrick goes on to become a decent manager himself, really likeable guy. talks well and a proper football thinker. go to a well run Lower Premier league club, Championship club or even have a venture in Scotland like Gerrard did.
