I don't see it mate, I'm trying but other than being half decent on the ball he's really not worth writing home about. Exactly. Not even that decent on the ball when compared with actual ballplayers. Is he better than Fred? Yes, I think he is but not 40m better. We need a player of real quality in midfield. Someone who can dictate play and retain possession of the ball. What do we get by signing Rice? If your going to sign any English player in that role, you sign Bellingham.

Am on my stag do and they made me wear a City shirt. Threw it off when Rashy scored.

First time back in the stadium this season, picked a good game for it but they kept us waiting.
Didn’t think we were great or anything, but as usual a Moyes side offers next to fuck all away to a top six team and think they deserve all three points.
I think Rice is ok, but he’ll never dictate a game of football and I feel like that’s what we need right now. He doesn’t offer control, he’s a tackler who now carries the ball forward a bit better than he used to.

Those that went: Was the atmosphere as loud and jumping as it seemed on tv? Me and my dad both commented on it.

Wouldn’t say it was incredible or anything during the game though, but I’ve been in there for home games where it’s been embarrassing so it was much better than that.

Pay that kind of money for Bellingham, who is incredibly dynamic. Also, keep a very close eye on Ramsey from Villa. He looks an outstanding prospect.

I'd much rather put the money towards Neves and either Kamara or Tchouameni. We can move on Pogba and Donny and Matic and keep Fred and Scotty as back-up.
Fix our central midfield and I think a lot of things fall into place.
And yeah we weren't great today. But let's face it we aren't a great team and there are some promising signs that Ralf's work on the training pitch is starting to pay off as we looked a lot more organized and provided we keep things tight we have matchwinners like Cavani, Ronaldo, Rashford and Bruno who can swing games in our favour. Think that will be the playbook for the rest of the season. Especially if Ralf doesn't get to bring in anyone this month.

I’ve not seen a massive amount of Bellingham and I’m probably getting gradually more wary of signing players from Dortmund and expecting instant returns. The difference between the two leagues is obviously massive based on the players who have made the jump. But as you say, a dynamic midfielder is the ticket and I’d sooner take a chance on a Bellingham than sign a Rice who we know can’t do that job. They might end up forming an effective partnership together for England.

Re Bellingham, there’s a certain Manc up here, with a Pod/YouTube show who constantly bangs on about him, and swears blind that he’s a shoe-in for next season.🤷♂️

Just a quick comment on the subs...it was good to see Ralf chucking on attacking substitutes. As I recall Fergie always said that was his approach if you needed a goal you need to take a risk...imo that’s what Ralf did and it paid off...I like his thinking...

When you consider the disaster this season has been, we win our games in hand and we’re 3 points behind Chelsea. The issue is the teams behind us spurs and Arsenal who could still leap frog us. However, Arsenal blew an opportunity against burnley and spurs were pushed aside with ease by Chelsea. We should at least be a top 4 side and if we showed some ambition we could be top 3. I get that’s not the club’s ambition but in light of where we were Ralf seems to be doing a decent job.

He’s not a top tier manager but he’s very good and for now doing a good job steering us back into a respectable finish. 6 wins 3 draws and 1 loss along with 5 clean sheets is a good return when you consider how easily we were shipping goals.

My mate was at the game, after they scored, something flew past his head. He is near the away fans. His mate bent down and picked up a brand new iPhone 13 max quad bells and whistles, not a scratch on it!! Jammy fucker!
