Definitely a lot rides on transfer dealings (both purchases and sales). I have confidence in his abilities as a coach but the current lot are uncoachable. It really is a shame Rangnick is being sidelined because he has good experience rebuilding clubs and has good contacts in European football that will help identify players that can improve the squad. And of course he is a great understanding of football so will instantly "get" the way Erik wants to play and tailor his recommendations accordingly. You cannot say the same of Murtough and Fletcher. At best we can hope they realize their limitations and defer to Erik's judgement and let him bring in the players he fancies.

One of his biggest problems are the United old
boys who were ridiculously quiet for the last 3 years of scorched earth legacy .
