For what it’s worth, MEN have gone hard on ETH getting the bullet. 2 articles already and it’s not even noon!

Henry Winter: Manchester United and Erik ten Hag are obviously locked in a loveless relationship, going nowhere. At some point, they have to part. His tactics, recruitment, game management and public utterances are all unconvincing. He would already have gone at a club with less patient fans. United’s match-going fanbase have been exemplary in their support of the manager. So far. Yet there also has to be understanding of the litany of injuries and, when Ten Hag finally leaves, some players need to acknowledge they could have done more, given more. If only every player had the professionalism, commitment to the cause and willingness to take responsibility of Jonny Evans. Evans has been a true leader on and off the pitch. When Ten Hag does go, Dan Ashworth and Ineos have also to change the culture shaped by the Glazers. United should be a football club with a megastore attached - not the other way round. #MUFC Most Utd fans think this is one of our strengths but it's one of our weaknesses.

For what it’s worth, MEN have gone hard on ETH getting the bullet. 2 articles already and it’s not even noon! Something needs to happen it's just not acceptable what we are being served, we now have probably our strongest team since fergie was incharge, we still need a good few more in/out but we should be seeing so much more from this squad, one of my biggest worries now is garnacho and mainoo look to both have stalled and we can not allow them to get caught up in this rot or they will both end up going the same way rashford has.

A lot of media sources say that contrary to how we presented things Tuchel rejected us in the summer because he had reservations about the job and wanted a break from management. In particular he didn't like the idea of working under the INEOS structure. And he will probably have added reservations after watching our start to the season and probably having to wait until next summer until he can sign any players he wants (assuming INEOS let him). And if Tuchel rejects us what then? Best of British but with Howe unlikely to leave Newcastle mid-season that will mean Southgate or Potter? Italian media have reported that we approached Inzaghi very recently and he rejected us. Allegri is immediately available and has a great trophy record and I think he is the best of our available options. But he doesn't seem to be on INEOS's radar. And may not even want the job. Looks like they’re going back for Tuchel.

Also true. Going into this season you wouldn't have expected our worst ever start in the Premier League so far with us sitting in 14th place with a goal difference of -3 and only Southampton have scored fewer goals than us this season in the Premier League. Do we really have the 2nd worst attack in the Premier League? Or is bad management and coaching a large contributing factor? The worst thing about Erik is that instead of figuring out what is going wrong and making changes he just repeats the mantra that he trusts and has faith in the players and eventually things will click.

Durning the match, the announcers mentioned that the front office was supposed to meet in London today so my guess is we will hear something by EOB today or tomorrow morning.

A lot of chatter on twitter that he could be gone as early as tomorrow. But that's just the rumour mill. Just seems to be an unusually high amount of it atm. Guess we'll seem

It was a regular, standing meeting of the executive rather than an outstanding one in London followed by a meeting in Manchester which makes it more interesting maybe (clutching at straws here). Regardless of that you'd think ETH dominated the agenda.

I think a few of these players have now repeatedly shown to be incapable of playing for United.
We all know who they are, they've seen a few managers come and go and always seem to cling on like a pube on the toilet seat.
Erik deserves blame, for sure, but he was also let down by many in the squad. Others stepped up, as they often did, for the manager (e.g. McTominay).
So too, I don't "blame" Ten Hag for not succeeding at United. He tried - many have - and although he won two trophies, he just couldn't get the club performing well enough consistently in the league. No shame in that.
He's reached the end of the runway, I think he'd probably start to admit that now - great coach, but the club was too big and the fit just wasn't right.

They’re waiting until we’re in a relegation scrap, if you consider our form now and the end of last season we’re not far off.

They’re waiting until we’re in a relegation scrap, if you consider our form now and the end of last season we’re not far off. Someone had something online which was our form in the league since the league cup victory, after which it’s pretty clear our form went off a cliff. We’re 14th there too, ironically.
