"We had a good basic pre-season. Then Anthony Martial was injured, Ronaldo wasn't fit, the six holding midfield position was not there. In the first game we had two centre-halves who have not played together and also the goalie was not the best period. So there's a clear reason why, but I know we will fix that and also that the results will be better. That showed already in pre-season. Pre-season we did quite well, but the first two league games were not good enough, that's clear.” Ten Hag
At least Ten Hag has already mastered the essential quality required in this job of making excuses for shit performances. But quite disappointing. Pre-season means nothing. Moyes had a great pre-season! It is easy to play well when there is no pressure and you are basically on a paid holiday. And while it is great we are signing Casemiro what happens when he is injured? And how long will Maguire and Martinez get a free ride because they aren't used to playing with each other? Arsenal and Tottenham are already 9 and 7 points ahead of us and these are the teams we need to finish above if we want top 4. And even if Martial or Ronaldo were fit would we have scored 5 goals against Brentford with them in the team?

I don't ever want us to lose, but especially not against Liverpool. Jeez.

I don't ever want us to lose, but especially not against Liverpool. Jeez. It's been like this for years, but that mixed feeling of winning a big game v papering over cracks has usually been the case in the final 3rd of the season, not the 3rd game. It would be hilarious though to see the dippers with less points than us at this stage despite the shit we are going through

I don't ever want us to lose, but especially not against Liverpool. Jeez. The majority of fans being angry is the only way to keep the pressure on. We've all seen how quickly the anger can dissipate with the slightest bit of positivity. We're the closest we've ever been to getting them out, or at least it feels that way. I hope we lose by 10 and there's a riot.

What does United losing to Liverpool do though? We all expect it to happen anyway and I’m sure the owners do too. Riot before hand. Get it called off, but if they get on the pitch, destroy the pricks.

More fan push, more angst, more talk in the media, more talk of selling, more eyes drawn to the shitheap of a club we've become. 3 games in zero points. These optics are everything that pushes people against the owners. Either we get the game called off or we lose. Winning does everything opposite. The momentum has to go down.

Of course it's for real. What, we win this game and suddenly everyone is 'yay, Glazers in'. Beating or losing to Liverpool will make absolutely zero immediate difference. What happens off the pitch could be a different story and I'm all for that. On the pitch, batter them. Fuck Liverpool. I despise them.

A win stops all momentum gained over the past week. I can't believe it needs to be said. Media narrative changes if results are positive. A loss here multiplies all the negativity surrounding this club. We need that to keep snowballing.

There literally are runts that, although perhaps not Glazers In, would use a win over Liverpool for false positivity and to quieten the protests. It's sad but true.

Again, cannot believe it needs to be said. A win here will definitely halt the momentum built up over the past weeks. That momentum can not be allowed to stop.

Well, these people are fucking idiots then. The Glazers out momentum won't stop with a win. Sorry, but I can not hope for a Liverpool win. Not in a million years. It sounds daft just saying it. EDIT: Not that it matters cos it won't be going ahead anyway
