This is why we need another striker. Same team as Monday except Casemiro for McTominay. Farewell appearance for Ronaldo in the last few minutes. Very interested in the Ronaldo for Osimhen idea. Shame Napoli aren't! |

We’re paper-thin upfront. We shouldn’t have needed a push this week to get one more deal done but there it is anyway. Antony, Gapko, Depay, whoever. Get it done ffs.

Still don't know why we weren't in for Belotti. But we need another striking option before the window shuts. |

I think that is good management by Erik. Sends the message that if players perform the way they did against Liverpool they keep their place regardless of the status of those on the bench.
Ronaldo is justifiably being left out of the team because he is still trying to engineer a move. A bit annoying that it means Elanga gets a game but hopefully we will sign Antony and send Elanga out on loan somewhere.
Maguire is justifiably being left out of the team because Varane and Martinez are much better players.
And it is quite usual for new signings to start on the bench especially signed this late in the window without much of a chance to train with the first team. I am sure Casemiro will get some action today and a bit unfair to Scotty to drop him when he did a decent job against Liverpool.
