Surely if the news isn't great with Eriksen, the club will look to at least make a loan signing ? Jon-jo Shelvey has requested a transfer out of Newcastle 😂🙈

Surely if the news isn't great with Eriksen, the club will look to at least make a loan signing ? There’s been talk of it this morning. You could look at a loan fee for a guy about to be out of contract in the summer like Tielemans, Aouar or Brozovic? I rate Mainoo very highly but it would be asking a lot of the kid to step in and play regularly, particularly in the big games. Fred is fine but Scott is awful. Ideally you want a player than can actually pass the bloody ball.

The amount of games & the intensity would logically suggest that ETH would probably not want to throw Mainoo into such a situation, you would hope anyway. Wonder if Bayern would let Gravenberch go out on loan, not being played. Someone like Tielemans woudl knows the premier league would probably be a cheap logical option.

I don't know why we haven't signed Tielemans long before now anyway. He may not have hit the potential he looked to have as a younger player, but he could just need out of Leicester where everything is stale. Or he could at the very least be a very good squad option for us going forward even if we need him to start every week right now.

Agree with all of the above.
Considering we're still challenging for four trophies, signing Tielemans now (loan with option to buy) is a no brainer in light of Eriksen's injury.

Eric really needs to get better at rotation. First it was Casemiro missing the Arsenal game because he was played against Crystal Palace. Then risking Eriksen against Reading. It wasn't unforeseeable that Casemiro would pick up a yellow card against Crystal Palace. And it wasn't unforeseeable that in a mismatch against mid-table Championship opposition there would be some bad tackles and rough housing.
And Eriksen will be desperately missed as he is 3rd top for assists in the Premier League with 7 assists with our next most creative Bruno trailing behind with only 4 assists. We saw so many times in the Europa League that we struggle to create chances against inferior opposition when Eriksen isn't playing. And he has been very important in helping us improve our possession statistics and improve our control of games.
Tielemans is probably the best available option. But with his contract situation we will either have to pay a hefty loan fee or make it an outright transfer. Leicester aren't going to let him go on the cheap as they will need to buy a replacement.
But even then he won't fully replace Eriksen's assists so we really need to rehabilitate Sancho and get him producing the same kind of assists output he was managing for Dortmund. Antony is hopeless 0 assists in the Premier League. Bruno can also do a lot better even allowing for the change in role under Erik.
We can thank our lucky stars that Liverpool are having a terrible season and Tottenham are being Tottenham and Chelsea are a basket case. Otherwise Eriksen's injury might have ended up costing us top 4.

Cancelo off to Bayern on loan according to Ornstein. Quite an odd one given it's not been long since he was receiving regularly very high praise.

Must have been a falling out with Pep Or Mendy returning? Mendy is out of contract in June, his re trail is August, very unlikely to play for them again.

Signing a CM now will be critical to securing top 4. Tielemans would be a good addition, not as much range and vision as Eriksen but probably better defensively. Arsenal want him also
