Used to captain Leipzig where he managed 52 goals and 42 assists in 229 appearances. Can play as a 6 and 8 or a 10. No real shame in struggling to get game time when Bayern have Kimmich and Goretzka ahead of him. So yeah I am totally on board with this. Could even be an upgrade on Eriksen who creativity aside didn't have much of an engine and would have probably burnt out if injury hadn't got him first. So yeah I am totally on board with this. Just seems a bit too good to be true.As desperation signings go Sabitzer isn't quite Casemiro, but it's up there. Really begs the question why we weren't interested four weeks ago. |

Will definitely be a loan if it happens. Hopefully we will insert an option to buy clause. He hasn't set the world alight at Bayern but his stats for Leipzig were good and he was their captain so definitely has the right kind of personality as Erik tries to assemble a team with a stronger mental makeup and his versatility (can play as a 6, 8, 10) will be incredibly valuable to us.
And Bayern have the same big club mentality as Real Madrid so the fact he is 28 and has struggled a bit may mean that it is attractive for them to loan him somewhere he will get a lot of game time and hopefully do well enough for them to get a decent fee for him in the summer which they can reinvest in someone younger.

You have to laugh at Merson's opinion on Sabitzer,a 4th rate Bayern player,that doesn't get in their side & it's just a panic buy.
Jorginho to Arsenal is great deal that makes sense.
