Deserved lead. Honestly don’t think Weghorst has done too bad. Some nice touches, constant pressing and takes multiple defenders out of the game for Bruno’s goal. Hardly makes him prime Ruud but offering more than Martial. He's held the ball up nicely a few times. Certainly aren't going to judge him on 45 minutes of football, add to that nobody is expecting him to set the world alight. Hes doing his bit. |

Had to miss the first half (and probably most of the second) for work - can someone summarise how it was? Sorry to be lazy! We really should do this lot if we have title hopes. Relatively even half overall - we are largely comfortable dominating possession but not offering significant threat. Palace have been mostly impotent but de Gea needed to make a brilliant save just before we scored. Our pass-and-move effort is a gigantic improvement, which stands out. More goals in this for us if we step it up just a half a gear. |

That De Gea save was unbelievable. The ball must have scraped his finger nails. Save of the season and one of his best ever if not the best.

Our goal looked like a guaranteed goal from the very beginning of the move. It was excellent.
