That arsenal team on paper bar a few players is pants, fair play to arteta getting what he has done out of them.

The fact that Weghorst has started 2 games in 4 days for a side technically in a title race is a shocking indictment of our recruitment over the past couple of seasons. This really has to end with new owners.

Didn't expect much different tbh given the players we have out.
Either way let's fucking have it. Just go for it.

Obviously the palace game hasn’t helped but under new ownership we need quality squad depth.

Odegaard worries me the most primarily because McTominay isn't the most disciplined.

McTominay better have the game of his life. If Eriksen is even a little bit off today our midfield will get massacred.
As for Weghorst up front, nothing more to add than what has already been said. Over a decade of vampirical bleeding and here we are.
That said, fuck the Glazers and fuck Arsenal, and fuck the London media creaming themselves over these North London wankers. Lets win this!

With Casemiro out and thinking outside the box, maybe having Fred in a four man midfield and withdrawing Antony would be the way to start the match. Fred on Odegaard would be the key matchup for me.
We are going into this match with a major weakness at DM, away from home and are not doing ourselves any favors leaving Fred on the bench.

If we make it 30min without conceding, we'll have a great chance of getting something out of this.

I suppose Erik's logic is that Scotty and Eriksen did OK in the reverse fixture. But I agree that using Fred to neutralize Odegaard would have made more sense even if it meant dropping Eriksen in favour of McFred. With Casemiro missing and Weghorst upfront a draw will be a good result especially as it is away from home.
And as I feared Weghorst is going to get a lot of game time between now and the end of the season. Hopefully at some point Erik will realize Rashford upfront and Garnacho on the left is the best of a bad set of options with Martial playing when fit. Weghorst should only play when we are desperate late in a game and trying to force a win or when Rashford and Martial are both injured. He shouldn't be our first choice striker by default!

Listening to 5-Live here and Ogden said Fred was in the original line up, but was a late withdrawal..

The fact that we, as supposed title challengers, are starting a crucial game with AWB, McTominay, and Weghorst shows how far we have to go. Here's hoping that any new owners are ruthless and have a Boehly sized chequebook and the same desire to wave their dick around.
