Worth pointing out that just because we have new ownership it doesn't mean our budget will be £300m especially with financial fair play rules likely to be tightened up. I'd go for Osimhen. Mbappe is great but he's better where Rashford is playing right now and comes with a whole lot of baggage we don't need and Erik isn't one to pander to galacticos. If Sabitzer is a success and Bayern are willing to let him go for a reasonable fee then we could sign him and also a CDM who can cover for Casemiro. We'd then have two CDMs two CAMs and Sabitzer who is versatile but probably better suited as a CAM. And we wouldn't be screwed every time something happens to Casemiro or Eriksen like we've been this season. In the summers to come we can then keep our eyes open for young midfielders who can eventually take over from Casemiro and Eriksen. I think improving squad depth is the main area to work on. Erik has sucked at rotation invariably dropping points. And partly that is because we don't have squad players who can step up and fit into the system without unbalancing the side. CF and RB are the main first team positions we need to strengthen. Then it is a matter of getting better CM backup than Donny/Fred/Scotty and getting quality cover for Varane who has already admitted he is feeling burnt out. And ideally we probably need a backup CF in the summer if Greenwood isn't returning to the fold. Our revenues comfortably allow us to buy players. Always have. |

CM isn't our #1 priority but Bellingham should be a must-buy this summer. CM will be an issue again soon enough but he would be the lynchpin for at least a decade. We cannot allow him to go elsewhere.
Doing the fantasy four, I'd add Oshimen, Mbbappe and a right back. Trying to think of a better option than Bestie's Reece James suggestion but struggling!
