Honestly the waves of attack in the 2nd half gave me vibes of the Fergie era. For the first time in years I wasn’t concerned going down 1 nil. If the ownership issue was sorted, we’d be in prime dream/major orgasm territory.

I was very nervous about this one, surprised that we didn’t field a bit stronger team, but in the end thank goodness we have a competent manager. I’ll give the horse credit he was a thorn in their side for each of the goals.

Sabitzer continues to impress me, lovely touches throughout and could have had another goal + assist on another night. He is a fantastic player,has to be signed at the end of the season. Hate to say it but I'm warming to the idea of Weghorst also,perhaps 6 months with McCarthy may improve his finishing. Still need a proper CF signed this summer but Weghorst would be a decent plan B which every side needs at times. |
