A shit ref. I know that doesn't narrow it down. I'm pretty sure he reff'd the reverse fixture earlier this season. Only reffed one of ours this season so far that was Southampton away and we won that, let's keep that trend going with him.

Hope Garnacho starts again, TAA won’t be able to handle 10 minutes of him let alone 90.

Over the last 3 or so years I have dreaded this game and just hoped we could keep the score down(or a boring 0-0 at best).
Even though It’s still a tough game that could go either way I want to to go there and win the game.

If he’s in anyway related to that grade ‘A’ shoplifting arsehole who appears on GMB in the UK don’t expect too much!

Playing this lot always makes me nervous. A bit of a cliche but you can usually throw the form right out the window. Will take any win; whether that be dominate and smash them, or a lucky 1-0.

Sie sind eine Ergebnismaschine ,as Jürgen said earlier in his presser. Ausgezeichnet!

We need to be careful here. Our upturn coinciding with their downturn will have hurt them. They'll be right up for it. A tight call going our way and a late Rashford winner would be nice, just to make them seethe. Us 4-0 up before half time would be nicer. The eternal question. A 6-0 smash is more fun, but a late winner has some electricity around it that a full demolishing doesn't, that late moment of elation can match the full 90's domination. I'll go for smash on this occasion because they deserve it, but both have their merits.

A repeat of the pre-season shellaking we dished out in Bangkok would very much suffice.

But it's Liverpool. I don't want them to ever have any joy or hope or excuse. I want us to score in the first thirty seconds against this lot and then every ten minutes.

I’m pleased they won in the week, I think that’s to our advantage. I’ve read a bit about their defence finding form with 3 (?) clean sheets in the league in a row too (conveniently forgetting the RM shellacking). They’ll be more positive now than if we’d met them immediately post RM and I feel that’s to our advantage.
Their defence is still shit and their midfield like ours was not too long ago (weak), so providing we contain their attacking threat we’ll definitely create plenty in return.

Can’t see it being a high scoring match, as long as we get at least one more goal than them it will be a fantastic day.

I’ve been reading that this game somehow means more to the scousers due to their top 4 hopes hanging in the balance. I have a feeling ten Hag will blow that narrative out of the water tomorrow. He talked up yesterday the importance of an away win against a major rival lacking this season. His ability to motivate the players and keep them focused each match is something we haven’t seen here since the Fergie years. I’m confident ten Hag will pull off a tactical masterclass similar to LVG’s famous Jaunfield win.
