There’s a refreshing simplicity to Pellestri’s wing play. The fashion for widemen to be inverted, to cut back inside, to do 10 stepovvers and then play it back to the fullback makes me tear my hear out at times. Pellestri gets the ball and goes forward quickly, then whips a ball in. He’s clever too when he has to be.
A fine player and a shout to Diego for the recommendation.

Just get it done and move on. We need to be on our game from the off, keep them goalless and quieten the home crowd. Rashford on 120 goals for United now. I said about 2 months ago he might equal Andy Coles 121 by the end of the season, he's got a minimum of 15 games to do it now.
Interesting also that if he keeps going he should get to Ole's record in fewer games (Ole 126 in 366 games, Rashford 120 in 346 games), I know Ole played so many as a sub but still, one was considered the best finisher at the club, and one is considered a poor finisher. Go figure.

He is top goalscorer in the UEFA Cup at the moment as well. If we fulfil expectations from here and win the thing, Rashford will have gone from a guy who was around when we won things to the guy who led the way. In two competitions. It would be a significant turnaround and really impressive realisation of potential. His form since the World Cup is excellent but banking it into trophies is what takes players to the next level. Rashford looks like he might be halfway up the steps. |

Maguire may not be all that as a player,but you can't fault his attitude & manner in which he dealt with that prat on BT Sport post match last night,he had one agenda that he wanted to push & it would have been very easy for Maguire to take the bait & create a negative spin on his situation & the progress being made at the club.

Shaw, Bruno and rashford all need a rest. PL far more important now. A 3 goal lead should be adequate for these players to hold on. Antony ill. Martial liability. Garnacho injured. Sabitzer to get good minutes but question marks over his fitness We don’t have a premier league game this weekend. Good point totally missed that. Made hard work out of that tbf. Don’t know how Maguire is getting praised he’s a total liability in this side. |
