Sure most of us, if not all would've picked that team...only point of contention would've been Wan Bissaka or Dalot. after watching dalot on tour i think wan bissaka is the better option for now. |

The bench is a very good sign of a squad’s strength and it’s obvious to me anyway that we still need big improvements.

I’d trust maybe two players to come off that bench and make a difference. Three if Pellestri is as good as people say. It’s worrying, but we should have enough regardless.

Why is Maguire on the bench ? Should have been left out of the match day squad to hammer the point home. Unless Erik wants to give him the Ronaldo treatment and give him a 2 minute cameo at the end of the game.
It’s pretty clear Erik doesn’t rate Sancho as a wide player so any game time he will get will be as a false 9 or number 10.
And I think we should get used to seeing Rashford play upfront this season as Erik has made it clear he wants to ease Hojlund into the team. Silver lining is it will mean some starts for garnacho
