"I loved every minute of it. Before the game you get a feeling, I couldn't wait, just pure excitement. Coming up here on the bus I was buzzing. That was my 200th game for Man Utd, I never thought I would ever reach that figure - the best night of my life. I wasn't consciously thinking I would sign [after getting the first call]. When you get to a certain age you start to wind down your career. I got the call and didn't have another option, so I just took it and tried to do my best in training and take my chance. You then just hope your body sees you through. It was never a thought that i would come in and be a starter, i was told that my role would be to provide competition and that is how i have approached it. With a few injuries I then had the chance to start tonight. They play differently here to how we did at my previous club, so I have been trying to get used to it and adapt my play. I think I slotted in well tonight and really added my experience to the side."
Jonny Evans post match comments were fantastic. It is a travesty he wasn't given the goal as well. If only the rest of the squad had the same attitude as Jonny we'd be in much better shape as a team.

Shit game, but given we're playing our Rumbelows Cup team it's a good win.

The only difference here so far is one excellently taken goal. It feels like watching two sides in a relegation battle. Almost as if one team has a whole team full of injuries and one doesn’t. And one had an incredibly chastening European game and one didn’t, midweek.

And one had an incredibly chastening European game and one didn’t, midweek. Burnley are the worst side in the league so far and conceded 11 goals in their 3 previous home games this season. They don’t even have that trait of being tough and dour to play against that they had under Dyche. They’re terrible. I’m happy we won and I guess while we’re so far short right now that simply getting 3 points on the board will have to do. Though I won’t be lauding them for playing like that under any circumstances against that level of opposition.

Imagine Moyes, LVG or Jose were in charge after that game . No chance they would have remain unscathed after battling Burnley like that.

Every team turns up to a United game or maybe it just seems like that these days... Standards have dropped for sure Will take the win though, hopefully with players coming back we can get a more stable run. It was still too easy to run past our midfield. Cant count the times McShit lost the ball while deciding what to do with it which always is a backpass anyway.

1-0 to Burnley isn't great, but a win was needed and I don't care how we got it.
Beauty of a strike from Bruno. Hojlund only looks better and better with his runs Reguilon still with the most heart on the squad and another solid performance

Burnley are shite, theres no denying that. But all things considered and after the last few weeks getting that win irrespective of how was the important thing.
In our defence we're only 6 games into the season and we've had absolute rotten luck since the opening day of the season, whether its injuries or on field decisions screwing us over.
Do feel for Erik in some aspects as he's not been allowed to find his best XI yet. Considering the injury front I do think he needs to utilise his substitutions better. We need to learn to finish teams off, not hold into 1 goal leads.
Onto the next...

Bang on with this.
Former United defender Paul Parker on Marcus Rashford, I couldnt agree more & it was about time :
"I was criticising Rashford when he scored goals because I wanted him to provide more for the team. Now, he is not scoring goals anymore, and his decision-making is still poor".
"Everyone was saying that he was winning Man United games, but the only thing they could come up with is that he was scoring goals".
"It has taken people a while, but now they are finally seeing that he is not contributing to anything. He should be because he is a fast winger with decent technical abilities, but in fact, he is just a selfish player who lives on the back of being good in February".
"I think that Man United rushed in too quickly to give him this huge contract. Overall, he has been delivering a poor return throughout his Man United career. That's a fact."
“I think the fans are tired of seeing him faking an injury all the times he gets tackled. They want to see him get up, chase back and get the ball back".
"What he is doing is something you would expect to see in a schoolyard from a petulant child. You wouldn't expect it to happen at Old Trafford. Not in a million years".
"But he does that every single time, and it shows me that he might not be a player for Man United after all. He needs to change his game and his attitude."

All the injuries we have, the losses thus far. A win and clean sheet just simply needs to be accepted. Let’s just build on it.
Dunno what more people expected from yesterday. As much as we slate them these players need wins to build confidence and also with the likes of Amrabat, varane, mount coming back in, we will have more options.

I think any team other than City are struggling with their whole first choice back four out injured. Not only that, but we’re now at our fourth choice left back.
Thinking rationally, we’re also trying to bed a new goalkeeper in. Which isn’t easy with a rotating cast of misfits in front of him.
Anyway, I don’t think anyone is throwing a party over beating Burnley 1-0, but I’ll take any bloody win at the minute.

Honestly Karma, your beating this Ten Hag Out drum but still not offering any solution. Not his fault the window and pre season was a total mess and the squad came into the season unfit and unprepared. It’s the club who put the stupid schedule on him

We needed a win. We needed a clean sheet. And we will be a much better team once Varane and Amrabat and Mount are back in the starting line up. And we have an easier run of fixtures to come which will hopefully allow us to put together a run of form. And
I think we will stop leaking goals when we find the balance in midfield and Varane returns to give our defence some leadership and Onana settles.
What is concerning to me is that Rashford only has a single goal and two assists in seven games. It is not a good enough excuse that the team is playing badly and is not at full strength. We are counting on him to be our top scorer this season because Hojlund is still raw. But at this rate he will struggle to hit double figures in the Premier League.
And I can understand why Erik is accused of playing favourites because Rashford was one of our worst players last night and stayed on the pitch the whole game.
