Eriksen shouldn't have started. He was never gonna have the legs for a game like this. If we can see it how the fuck can't the manager. I've not questioned Ten Hag up to now but I'm seriously wondering what he does behind the scenes. I've never seen a squad so out of sync in all the years I've supported the club. Literally everything is a mess and there's only one way this ends. The problem isn’t just Erikison either. We can’t get the ball to his feet so he ends up being a box to player midfielder which isn’t his game and never has been. Tactically we are just so easy to play against especially in the wide areas because of the ridiculous inverted wingers he insists on playing. Rashford had his man beat down the left multiple times today but he’s obviously cutting back inside to get on to his right and teams are ready for it same with Garnacho. Even though Antony has been dreadful I’m sure he could ping in a cross from the left so why not bring him on sooner and try that? We have scored the same amount of goals as Luton, we have no style of play or identity and we look very small and vulnerable at the back especially on set pieces. It’s time to move on Totally. Not solely blaming Eriksen, he was just hilighted more than others today for not having the legs for the game. But they simply don't play as a team. Square pegs in round holes and it's frustrating because this squad have proved they're capable of much better.

Not sure if its been mentioned but in 88 minutes Rashford had 41 touches Lost the ball - 21 times Successful passes - 6 times Won’t see that on Sky or the gram.

Eriksen is really done at this level, especially in a team with issues in midfield. It's hard for him to cover the ground or atleast enough to avoid being exposed.

We know how this ends. Be lucky to get to March before CL qualification is out of reach.

The best we’ve been under ETH was early last season when Eriksen and Bruno played closely together and, Bruno instead of turning the ball over would find Eriksen who was never too far, Eriksen would then not only bail him out but already knew where the ball was going next. The attack progressed nicely and that’s the closest we’ve had to a style of play.
What the fuck happened.

Watching the highlights back this morning.
Onana really suspect again for their second. Straight through him. Awful signing. As bad if not worse than any of the ones we’ve been slagging on here for the last week.
Dalot is so poor defensively. First half, you can see Werner coming in behind him ready to be found with a cross and Dalot has no idea he’s there. He’s tucked in so narrow. Mainoo has to tell him in the end, fortunately Werner is shit and it can to nothing.
Their second is classic in terms of what we concede. Nobody following the midfielder, completely unmarked when he reaches the edge of the box, played square to him, goal.
I was expecting to lose in fairness, I always do, so a point should really be a bonus.

I know de Gea had let some mistakes slip into his game in recent years but in general shot-stopping (not even talking about worldies) he was far superior.

Onana and Antony are sackable offences. Every manager has flops. But that is £130m spent on total rubbish. And what makes it worse is he has coaches these players at Ajax so cannot blame poor scouting or lack of familiarity.
As for Eriksen he shouldn't be playing in the big games. He is better used when teams park the bus. But he is the only player we have who can pull the strings in midfield so it is tough. I think Erik signed Mount as a successor for Eriksen as clearly Mount isn't going to play as a number 10 with Bruno in the team. But initial signs haven't been encouraging. We really need to get the Casemiro Mainoo partnership up and running. Even if they might not be able to control midfield at least they will be able to boss it.
Very happy for Hojlund though. At Atlanta he took off second half of the season. So hopefully the same thing will happen for him here.
And Martinez looks like his old self so that will be a welcome addition to our defence and the Martinez Varane partnership is rock solid.

I know Rashford is despised on here now by most but I do think the front 3 has at least a bit of speed and movement about it. It’s largely miss rather than hit but there’s something there to work with.
