Performance aside the ref was embarrassing aswell. The standard is so unbelievably poor at the moment. Literally no point in VAR if its not going to be used by competent people.

Feel for Hojlund aswell. Received the ball 4 times from Onana yesterday, more than any outfield player. The lack of service the lad gets is criminal.

There was a point when Garnacho just had to make a easy pass to Hojlund who had the defender at his back and basically wide open to score on a run in the box but he decided to go for glory.... instead of doing the simple things everyone except him and Bruno on the attacking side think about themselves.

We've lost 11 points from giving up winning positions in the last few minutes of extra time in the last 8 games. The majority of those were mistakes or brain fart clumsy defending and a few dubious ref decisions! 27 center back partnerships and right full backs one(AWB) that isn't great at all in his normal position playing left back. The current CB partnership of Casemiro and Maguire is probably the worst of the lot and Maguire isn't at fault there either. We basically have 1 fit center back and 2 right backs right now.
Midfield defensively is dreadful too and looks tired later on in games, including Mainoo, which is why Bruno feels he has to be everywhere, when he really shouldn't be.
That's just the chaos in recruitment catching up and poor planning. I don't believe all of these injuries are just bad luck. It's also over investment and naivety regarding players with past injury issues and who were past their peak. A lot of those players can't play that high tempo front 5 pressing game he wants to play anyway.
I'm 50/50 on ETH, because a lot of his decision making in the transfer market and planning was poor, but so has other coaches and the set up shouldn't be like that for a coach at this level anyway!

At this point if they get rid of him, I don't blame them. His choices in subs this year have just made no sense. His loyalty to Antony and his just questionable tactics have left most of us with a sour taste in our mouths to the guy On the other hand if they keep him for the last year of his contract, I am ok with it. This season specifically he hasn't had a lot of worth while options to play in a lot of positions. The emergence of Mainoo and Garnacho solidifying himself as a future star have been because of the lack of options. What don't do, is sign him to another contract unless he makes a massive step forward next year. That includes CL, being somewhere close to contending for the PL, and the team not looking clueless on the pitch
