Ronaldo's attitude in that game was frankly embarrassing and Martinez is an absolutely spineless clown for pandering to it. Absolute no interest in helping his team there, just wanted to massage his own ego. Was proper funny when he missed that penalty.

The only major footballing power that's played well consistently is Spain.

Almost all of the teams in this tournament are absolute shite. Austria are the most exciting team this tournament. And Switzerland.

Almost all of the teams in this tournament are absolute shite. I’ve found the whole thing a bit boring to be honest.

But we wont know what they're capable of because of one person. His selfishness could have easily got them knocked out. He has Costa and Sesko missing two golden chances to thank for it. Ronaldo is and always will he a legend of the game, but his ego is now turning into Portugals biggest weakness. It's turned into the Ronaldo show and the other players are suffering for it. Last night should be a huge wake up call for him. He's phenomenal athlete but nothing beats time.

This 3rd place qualifying spot hasn't helped either. Teams knowing they don't have to push it because they can qualify in 3rd place. I've been more impressed by the likes of Austra, Switzerland and Georgia than any other of the favourites.

The coach picks him, if he's not good enough then it's on the coach. I agree with you to a certain extent as he's playing in some bullshit league against garbage but he's being picked and he's obviously still passionate enough to play for Portugal. I don't think Portugal are that good. They were pretty poor in midfield last night and you can't blame Ronaldo for that. I've said on plenty occasions that this isn't a great time for international football. There's no outstanding teams at this level anymore. Football in general is lacking world class players.

Just that time is catching up and hes refusing to acknowledge it. 4 years ago those chances last night would have been buried. Overall they were poor last night but also think that's partly because Martinez is useless and that everything was set up to look for Ronaldo. They're certainly better than they've been playing lately. Every set peice went to Ronaldo and everyone was shot, even a ridiculous one over the far left side in the 2nd half that was mever going in. Wouldn't mind but his record is woeful aswell. If Portugal are to win this tournament, which I feel they're more than capable of doing then things need to change.
