The boy has plenty about him. I’d be surprised if he isn’t the number one LB within 24 months and if shaw breaks down again that time will be cut in half

3-0 to the dippers 😡 Also...
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans all started the game against our Premier League rivals, but were withdrawn at various stages – all appearing to be unable to continue.
Lindelof and Evans departed at half-time and one of those who came on to replace them, Will Fish, was also unable to close out the game, having come off worse in a challenge with Liverpool’s Harvey Blair.

Just watched extended highlights. It was a bizarre game which we had more than enough chances to win. Kelleher was outstanding for them, the polar opposite to 5he FA Cup game. Never nice to lose to these scrotes but only preseason etc. However, the lack of clinical finishing cost us again.

All in all.
Terrible preparation for the season. Yet again.

Just read that 3 out of the starting back four limped off.
Great. Just great.

Just read that 3 out of the starting back four limped off. Great. Just great. Bayern just added 15 million to the asking price.

Fuck off the idea of another CB and RB this summer. If we don't sort out that midfield we're fucked before we begin.
We played well for most of the game last night tbf and the scoreline massively flattered them. But it still highlights how desperate we are for a natural finisher. Think we dropped the ball getting a player similar to Hojlund instead of someone like Toney. Not to say don't want the lad to do well.
These american tours need to be binned off aswell. The only positives have been seeing more of Amass and Collyer.

Could have prime Keane, Scholes...and a proper Kante in there for shits and giggles, they can't play how we wanna play

It’s time to reimagine what a preseason tour should be, much like the NFL did with the Pro Bowl.
Some of the changes could be having team skills competition inter squad or vs another team. Have 5v5 sand soccer matches inter squad of vs another club. More non contact type activities.
To make the money have scheduled team meet and greets where the public can buy United gear and have the players sign. There must be a ton of different things that can be done to achieve both squad fitness and increasing the United global footprint.
Also, at the same time the rash of injuries would not be as prevalent as going full steam against top clubs as we have been doing and paying the price.

The midfield being as weak as it is puts more pressure on the defence though. We need to get a player like Ugarte in because we can't rely on Casemiro this season, he's gradually dropping off more and more. Unless he uses Collyer as much as he did Mainoo last season we literally have Mainoo and Bruno to rely on. They need to pull their finger out in this window or the season is fucked before it starts.

Casemiro is done at the level we need, keep saying it but we should get rid. Take the L and move on

I think Mazrouia is fairly inevitable. AWB is on the way out and needs replacing. And I think the fee discrepancy relates to De Ligt not Mazrouia. They want about £40m. We are only offering around £30m.
But after Mazrouia a number 6 has to be the next priority. And if we can't afford Ugarte then Berge will do and will at least be an upgrade on Amrabat and Casemiro and is battle tested in the Premier League. And unlike Rabiot won't demand high wages and can give us 5 years as a squad player as he's only 26.
We can get by without De Ligt. We finished top 4 twice under Ole with Vic and Harry in defence and a midfield of Mainoo and Ugarte/Berge should give at least as much protection as McFred did. And so long as Yoro and Martinez aren't injured at the same time it won't come to that. Evans can also step in when needed and Shaw is decent at CB.
But if Casemiro is our number 6 next season doesnt matter who our defence is we will leak goals
