Everyone losing their panties at Sky over Slot winning 2-0 at newly promoted Ipswich but saying same old United struggling to beat Fulham
Definitely still issues there but it was night and day compared to our 1-0 win against Wolves last season, nothing same ol about it.

Vastly improved. Fulham barely had a shot on target bare the one from the full back Onana tipped over. When you consider we faced nigh on 700 shots last season, you've got to take that as a positive, and some of our play when it clicked was good. Still much to work on, like how on Earth did Maguire get isolated 2-on-1 from out attacking set piece, but also green shoots of a proper football club again. But make no mistake, this Saturday's game is a bigger indicator of where we are, IMO.

As good as Maguire was on Friday, his passes always came to nothing and was too slow out the back. De Ligt is a ball playing center back and it should help the team move in that direction. If we scored those chances that fell for Bruno as well, it would have been a different game as Fulham would have been forced to attack more. We need to start taking our chances. Hopefully JZ starts this weekend.
Also agree I think this weekend will the acid test, then we go to Liverpool but I am quietly optimistic. Just wanted to highlight that the media especially ex players like Neville cant seem to give us a fair shake.

It’s the perfect time to play Brighton and Liverpool as they’re still finding their way under new management too. As the season goes on they’ll both improve. Should be getting 4 points minimum

The below is apparently from Sky. I thought it was clear that we got worse when Mount went off. If he can get a goal or 2 and get his confidence up, he could be important for us.
The Second Spectrum data tracks players' movement on and off the ball and allows us to calculate pressing involvements. A counter-pressure is defined as a pressure that begins within two seconds of the opponent gaining the ball.
Mount counter-pressed Fulham on 23 occasions at Old Trafford on Friday evening, three more than any other player to feature in the Premier League on the opening weekend. That is a remarkable statistic given he was substituted soon after the hour mark.

I think in big games he will definitely be important
