I know many expect Ten Hag to have been sacked this week, but that was never going to happen.
The new structure waited all Summer to affirm they were backing ETH, and reiterated as much in a sit-down interview to that effect before the LFC game. They would have looked clueless and reactive if they were to sack him now, three games into the season.
He'll be given a few months still, but I doubt he'll get lasting support if we're outside the top 4/5 by Christmas and the team isn't performing in spite of having everyone mostly fit.
Horrific result, but we also lost 6-0 to this lot last year so not going to pretend this was the worst defeat in the ETH era.
I'll be ready to back Ruud when the time comes, seems a question of when and not if!

his understanding is also wrong, because he did say months It's fucking weird he's twisting himself into knots to defend him when we all heard what he said. I read somewhere that he said month and not months. I guess that’s wrong. Relax.

Casemiro is not the biggest issue , its Ten Hag's stupid setup which is the biggest issue.
When almost every single player is struggling its usually on the manager. Mainoo also didnt cover himself in glory ,lets not forget that third goal came from his mistake,
But i feel defense and midfield can be fixed , its the attack which concerns me , just not enough quality there , way too raw with bunch of young kids who should not be regulars at this stage of their career.
I know Bruno is beyond any criticism here , but he was also pretty much invisible , Zirkzee look like another bum and Rashford despite being shit actually created the best chances in the game.

Attack is a work in progress and we will need to add some more quality next summer. Osimhen and someone like Nico Williams would be great!
But this season with the defence refreshed and Ugarte added to our midfield and Mainoo starting to blossom we should be controlling games and not giving away so many chances. And if we fail to do so that reflects badly on Erik.
I don't support Erik's tactics at all. However having "seven lung" Ugarte will paper over a lot of cracks. He'll cover a huge amount of ground so the huge gaps between our defence and our attack are less obvious and give Mainoo some breathing space so he can pull the strings a bit more in midfield.
But it will be another struggle for top 4 when with a better coach we would be comfortably finishing top 4 and building a solid base for a title challenge next season.
And yes INEOS cannot pull the trigger just yet. They will probably have to give him until the year end and wait until we are trailing top 4 by some distance to justify the change.
I'd be fine with Ruud as a caretaker manager as they'd be little chance INEOS would be deceived by a new manager bounce and give him the permanent job. At least Ruud gets the club and the standards we should have and inspires a bit more confidence than Erik. A back to basics approach would at least mean that the superior quality of our squad to most other teams would show a little more. But under Erik we look like a midtable side even though we no longer have midtable players.

If he loses against Southampton, or the game after, or both for example, isn't in their best interests to protect their assets and look for immediate improvement rather than letting it fester when we all know the eventual outcome anyway

We are so toxic. 2 losses and suddenly everyone is shit. Be honest guys, Zirkzee has had like 120+ mins of football with United and he has had 1 goal. How is he a bum? Are we jumping the gun now just cause these are Dutch players? playing for United? Looks like Fellaini?
I know we arent winning but it is still 3 games into the season, hardly time to see how the new signings will do in the long run.
Start winning games and things go quiet and 1 loss the doom and gloom will come back and this and that player is shit. The amount of negativity is scary.
I am also upset and depressed but I think this kind of negativity where we are just finding every little thing and finding the blame for the loss is getting ridiculous.
Same with the whole rumour surrounding Ugarthe, who actually said ETH didnt want him here? The interview pre Liverpool game, it was clear from the higher ups that they work with ETH on transfers. Just crazy that one rumour then ETH saying it will take time to integrate him into the team and all of a sudden it reinforced that he didnt want him? how why when?
Just imagine if you start a new job, depending on the type of job, there is a honeymoon period in the beginning that you ramp up. Your boss will probably not trust you a 100% yet on the serious stuff as you are ramping up. Reading company policies, getting familiar with processes... Sure it is maybe not the same with Football but you could expect something similar. I've never started a job when first day I am doing the stuff I was hired to do. In fact the higher up I moved, this ramp up period has become longer and longer lol

Can you imagine that perma-crock Osimhen here? Jesus, he'd be sent to the same glue factory as Shergar and Red Rum.

But its not just about 2 losses ,this is his third year, he has spend a good amount of money on transfers, and we still look clueless for the most part. Except for Bruno, Rashford and Dalot every single player who started against Liverpool was his signing. Its time he is held to higher standards, unfortunately i dont see him reaching those.

Trying desperately not to be like that but 3 games in, 2 losses and two of them were real hidings. There's not alot to be positive about with this squad and manager. The place stinks of average.
