Zirkzee should have had two very good assists and played well in the position he is supposed to at this early stage. The finishing was poor again and you have to look at the quality of finishing from our forwards as well as the attacking mids. It's all well doing it against a young second rate keeper against Barnsley, but when it really counts in big games it's not there! It's frustrating, because we have definitely improved already in creating chances and better controlling the game apart from the Dippers game. The back four is already better and will improve as well as the full backs and Ugarte will add to that in time too.
It's been the same in all of the games in the PL so far, even the Dippers game we missed two decent chances. We should have 12/15 points at least now and the mood would be totally different obviously. I just don't think they are good enough yet. It's either because they are still young and not enough experience or in Rashfords case too streaky.
There was nothing wrong with the tactics or the effort, the pace or the ability or set up to create clear chances. We did all of that but simply didn't finish anything.
