Rumor is, players aren’t sure what he’s asking of them. Normally I’d hold for further evidence but the proof is in the pudding. He’s fucking clueless. And he can’t get the players to fall behind him. It’s an unmitigated disaster, each passing game. It’s looking more and more like a case of here is the new king, same as the old.
My eyes are not sure if ETH knows what hes asking of himself.
Trust the plan apparently 🤷♂️

There’s an air of the last days of Jose, when he pulled a result out of the fire (was it Newcastle? Spurs?) which merely delayed the inevitable. We’ll probably spawn something out of Villa but then go to shit again in November. Which will mean the end, finally. Was that a Sanchez late winner against Newcastle? I feel like Ole had a win against Spurs with Cavani and Ronaldo up top which saved him for about a fortnight. That sounds about right

There can be no more saving. We all wanted the guy to succeed but.... We simply can't allow a situation where heads drop to the point of no return. Get someone lined up now for the international break or get Ruud to hold the fort if we can't get someone.
Enough time and money has been afforded to ETH, can't keep seeing this trash, don't want to keep hearing stories after 2 years. No style, no real progress, no idea what is going on.

£17.5m to sack him apparently In the grand scheme of affairs if that's the cost to get in the champs league, we need to take it. It would cost us far far more if we don't get in there

£17.5m to sack him apparently that shouldn’t even be part of the decision. i want us to do what most big clubs do and fire managers if expectations are not met but we always have this ‘next Fergie’ and ‘needs time’ view on managers. how long would ETH have lasted at real,Bayern or Barca etc?

Missing out on Champions League would cost us what, 100 mill? 17 seems reasonable.

If a Real manager lost to Barca 7-0, sacking would have been the least of his concerns.

£17.5m to sack him apparently Peanuts compared to what we will lose not making CL or even Europa.

I really don't know why we did the 1 year contract extension in the summer. He still had a year left on his original contract so we should have just run it down and then made a decision next summer over whether he deserves a new contract (assuming he lasted that long). Erik was under contract so if he'd resigned he would have lost out on any compensation. So there was absolutely no reason to give him the 1 year extension. And that would have made it a lot cheaper to sack him this autumn.
Although I agree at this point you take the hit as soon as possible so someone else can have a go at saving our season.

I said after last season that I'd be fine with Tuchel. People now saying they'd be fine with Southgate shows just how desperate the situation is.
Regardless, we still don't have goals in this team, and that's a problem that a new manager isn't going to solve.
INEOS would look a bit amateurish sacking him now, too. If they thought he was the man for the job (rightly or wrongly), a rough start to the season shouldn't change that. Sacking him would be an admission that their lengthy review was seriously flawed.

Trust the plan apparently 🤷♂️ The players weren't sure if they should let Van de Ven run 75 yards with the ball, and Dalot wasn't sure if he should track his man. This stuff is just ridiculous.

It makes no sense. We look like absolute idiots sacking him now after giving him the extension a couple months ago.

If Ratcliffe is the United fan he makes out he is then there is only one correct outcome and it happens this week.
