Traditional 3pm Saturday k.o. Lovely. Tough game. Injuries are creeping up again. I'm not confident at all.
2-1 loss. Hate predicting united nowadays!!

A midfield of Casemiro and Eriksen. God knows who at LB with Dalot at RB.
Can't fucking wait.

Funny that through injury Erik will be forced to pick the midfield he has been picking pretty much every game so far this season.
Rotation hasn't exactly worked for him. Hasn't stopped players getting injured and has meant we've fielded weaker teams than we could have done or taken off players that were actually performing well (with the Rashford sub against Porto particularly baffling).
Knowing Erik he will get a bit of luck and get a few wins over the next few games which will probably buy him another month or two especially as Tuchel has removed himself from the running.
But frustrating for fans as we know the change is required and INEOS are dragging their heels and giving Erik lifeline after lifeline.

Our inability to score will ultimately be the reason Brentford wins... 2-0 Brentford and ETH cries about injuries piling up in the post match.

Mainoo looked tired from the start. He was always going to hit a wall at some stage. I honestly believe that much football and pressure on a 19 year old in his first year is wrong. Having said that he's a hell of a lot more resilient than that complete waste Mount. 2 years or into 3 seasons now and he's played absolutely fuck all meaningful football for us or the rents and he was in the last year of his contract too, fucking idiots!
We actually started the season with a weaker midfield squad than last year and no left back again.

Eriksen will be the next out. Amazed he hasn't been injured yet, playing for too much football.
He just keeps digging his own hole at this point. No accountability whatsoever and his presser today confirms how his head is stuck in the clouds. Doing everything he can to ignore the reality he's created.
Caring less and less as each games goes at this point.

‘Sometimes you have to face challenges, sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down. I am sure we will make it a success like we did in the last two seasons. We are in a direction. Underneath I see good patterns, good steps that confirm we are in a direction, but the ranking is not lying – it is not good enough. In general, the players do perform well and we have to start scoring and that part is the most important part in football if you want to win games. That part we have to improve. We are entering the final third, the box, we are coming in good positions to score but now the most important part is to net.’
Erik is still deluded. Thinks that last season was a success just because we won the FA cup. And still insisting that we are playing well and heading in the right direction when it is quite clear that we've been going downhill since the Carabao Cup win and the FA Cup while nice to have doesn't change the overall big picture of a team in decline. And a lot of our players are in decline as well. Mainoo is struggling this season. Garnacho hasn't improved as fast as I would have expected. Martinez looks shaky and seems to be missing Varane. Bruno has been rubbish. And so on.

You'd think Brentford will score in the first minute again.
