Sounds like Ruud will be in charge until the international break so Ipswich will be Ruben’s first game. Can't complain. I'd like to see what Ruud can get upto against Chelsea etc.

Mainoo and Ugarte sounds like it could be a great partnership with 3 centre backs behind them.

Agree and I think that under Ruud, Casemiro and Ugarte is a good interim solution. Mainoo is young and will benefit from a bit of time out and then when Ruben comes in there will be a lot more structure to the team so he'll have a clearly defined role which will suit him better than all the firefighting he had to do under Erik this season. Mainoo and Ugarte sounds like it could be a great partnership with 3 centre backs behind them.

Good work all round. We moved decisively, and starting after the international break seems sensible. It also gives Ruud a couple more games, which is a mini-campaign we call get behind I think.

I really hope that Ruud stays when Amorim arrives…
He loves the club and I enjoy having him here…

If he is coming in and changing formation which is expected, having that break to train with players and settle into the area will be useful.

Apparently he's in at the start of the international break to do exactly this.

Works out nicely. Some breathing space between the two managers could be good for the players. Erik was a dead man walking since the summer which took the pressure off the players especially Erik's favourites. Now they have a new manager to impress and will need to prove themselves.
