Thanks everyone for the warm reception. I plan to check this board out pretty regularly. So here's my story: -I am not a long-time fan of ManU. I recently started following them because one of my best friends lives in Manchester and recruited me. Call me whatever you want because I could really care less. I'm here now and that's all that counts...so suck on it!!! -I am a new fan to football (soccer  ), but I already love the sport. I've been following international soccer since the World Cup was held in the US in 1994. My first game attended was USA vs. Columbia. My yanks won 1-0 after Columbia scored an own goal....that player was later shot and killed in Columbia as the shooters yelled out, "Gol Gol Gol Gol" as he bled to death on the sidewalk. That was when I understood the magnitude of this sport and how passionate the world is for this silly game. -I am also a die-hard Oakland Raider fan in our football (the Silver and Black). To give you a comparison, rooting for the Raiders is the equivalent of being a Newcastle fan....not a whole lot of success, but there's still always something to fight over. Our fans are known to be the toughest group of misfits on this side of the Atlantic. -My favorite ManU player is Ryan Giggs. The guy just plays effortlessly and always seems to make the right pass at the right time. I wish he could play forever. I also love Rooney's energy and pace, but feel that he has a lot of maturing to do. He allows his emotions to get the best of him at times and I hope that he doesn't allow this to happen during a crucial game. -My player I hate the most as of last weekend is Arsenal's Henry. I pray that he tears an ACL or MCL or both. Fuck this guy!!! If he were burning alive on the side of the road, I wouldn't stop to even piss on him to put out the flames. I hate this guy like I hate root canals. -Next January, I have plans to come out to Manchester for a wedding and my friend and I have already made plans to see a ManU game at Old Trafford regardless of time or cost. Maybe we'll meet some of you there. |

I live in Valencia...about 30 minutes north of Los Angeles. I work in the San Fernando Valley in North Hollywood.
