I hope Evra is just a player who needs time to settle in but with Heinze being fit again and Silvestre also I can't see him being more than a good squad player myself.
Not been too impressed with what I seen so far from Evra but guess we bought him for a reason.

I've said this in another thread, Evra hasn't had the chance to impress and when he does I think he will, especially after watching him in AS Monaco's Champoions League run, and their league performances.

That's a fair point but I stand by what I said above, I can't see him getting much of a chance.
Looks to me like he was brought in as cover while Heinze was out but Silvestre took his chance well. Can only see Evra being 3rd choice for left back next season.

I heard a rumour that United might try to get Chimbonda from Wigan so Evra could be way down the pecking order

Chimbonda plays on the right though yeh? I think Fergie thought he'd found a player in the Ashley Cole mould. As it happens, he's just found someone who run very fast, cant really tackle, and cant really cross. Oops  |

He was cracking at the beginning of the season, but the only good thing I've seen from him in the 2nd half of the season was scoring us that goal! Cheers  |

I was talking to my mates about Heinze in the centre of midfield. We both agreed he might be a bit of a liability there.... not because he isn't a great and competant tackler, but being in the thick of the action, I could see him getting wound up and reacting.

I'd like to see Evra on the left wing. Rotate him and Richardson. Heinze deserves to be our main choice left back.

I think (other than Howard and vds) that Ruu's the only player who hasn't given it a go, and he's guna be sold. I think i've stumbled on the real reason behind him being dropped! |
