What do you think would be ideal signings for United in pre-season?

Pascal Chimbonda is one, he looks strong at the back, but we definitely need a PROVEN replacement for Keane.

No dis-respect to Darren Fletcher...but he hardly fills Keano's boots.

It is Chimbonda and not Cygan i'm talking about - he looked good from the very first game of the season for Wigan - It's a shame people don't see talent in players from the "smaller" clubs often enough.

You have your own opinion, but i think he's a good player - Not sure whether he'd be a first 11 candidate though.

My 2 for midfield are: Riquelmé and one out of Parker/Carrick or Diarra.

Yeah, Riquelme would be ideal...so would players like Deco, Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Henry -But what chance do we actually have of getting these players?

Almost no chance i'd say.

What's the latest on Juve though? if they get relegated, some of their players would be available then i guess

He's only at Villareal and I don't think they are playing CL footy next season.

According to Spanish press we made a 15 mill Euro bid for him a couple of weeks ago

And any reference to not making it at Barca are completely unfounded cos they got rid as he was surplus to requirements after the arrival of Ronaldinho

I just hope Fergie gets a proper replacement for Keane, not an unproven one....Miller and Djemba-Djemba were meant to be replacements for him - What happened there?

I'll go with Riqueleme(Playmaker), Carrick(Defensive) and Huuntelaar(Striker)

And Ive chosen them because they are all possible to sign

Otherwise I would have gone with

Ronaldinho, Ballack and Henry to play the postitions mentioned

We'll stage a Republik of Mancunia kidnap, we’ll rent a coach, pick up the regulars on here, bring a good few cases of beer and err, some weed (not that one would smoke it) ha, then go to Barcelona, gag Ronaldinho and bring him back to OT. I refuse to drive though, I will be drinking ;D!

Ideal and maybe possible (if we pulled our finger out of our arse)-

Rosicky, Sneijder, Gattuso, Diarra, Riquelme (obviously quality but i worry about him adapting or us having to adapt to him)

Don't know what the exact set-up is with Mascherano, but if he was available i'd certainly say we should go after him. Saying that i havent seen him play since he joined Corinthians, he might have gone backwards, though he is in the Argy squad still.
