Ruud hasn't said 'it might be best to leave' at all. I listened to his latest interview and the link is available on BBC.co.uk/football. It sounds to me as if he will stay. He has said ''unless anything changes, I'll be at United next season!'' And, he has also said that his team mates have called him and give him votes of confidence which means that the players are giving him their support. Hopefully, he stays and my gut instinct is he is going to stay. Let's hope he does and next season finds his best form. I think his problem this season was he lost his confidence, if he can regain it at the World Cup then next season we'll have the 'old' Ruud back although a below-par Ruud scored 20+ this season. Sure, let's not forget that even an unmotivated Ruud did better than other "motivated" strikers! I agree that the WC might do him some good in finding his motivation again and with some good signings this summer he'll come back to a United he'll want to play great for.
