From Sky Sports:
''I am sick and tired of United players telling me Holland are a team who never win anything,'' he told the Sunday Mirror.
''They say to me 'You have a good team but you will never win anything'.
''I keep telling them Holland reached the semi-final of three major tournaments but that doesn't impress them.
''All the time the United boys go on about the problems in the Dutch camp.
''I am fed up with their jibes. I want to shut them up.''
Van Nistelrooy endured a nightmare end to last season in being deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford for long spells but feels that this could work in his favour as he is feeling fresh, while others may be heavy-limbed.
''I have an advantage because I have played so few games over the past couple of months,'' he added.
''I trained really hard, did a lot of extra things. The whole preparation for this World Cup was a joy for me.
''I'm raring to go. I cannot explain or tell you how sharp I feel.
''I am bursting to perform in Germany.''
Van Nistelrooy will be joined in a three-pronged attack by Chelsea wide man Arjen Robben, another player anxious to prove his worth on the world's biggest stage.
''For every individual player it is important to show what you can do in this tournament,'' he added.
''The best players in the world come to this event and the whole world is watching.
''We have to wait and see but I am very confident. We will see in two weeks time what more we can say.''

I think Holland will reach the semis this World Cup providing they don't come across England or Brazil on the way they could go all the way. Especially with that Premiership-trio attack force of Robben, Van Persie and our very own Van Nistelrooy who is out to prove his critics wrong.

They looked good today, but a bigger win over Serbia would have inspired a bit more confidence...a win's a win though...

If anything Ruud looked rusty not sharp. Not the auspicious start for Ruud we would have hoped for...I would have rathered he scored than Robben.

yeah, if he stays we want him to have had a good world cup and come back spirited, if we sell him we want him to have a good world cup to up the price. one things for sure, I hope Robben breaks his ankle!

He didn't really get much service to be honest.. if you look at where its coming from you have 2 selfish players such as Robben and Van Persie trying to do it all alone, maybe you can see some of his frustration at Ronaldo from this, who has drastically improved where Robben and Van Persie haven't, i feel sorry for the guy stuck up there watching Robben and Van Persie trying to go it alone.
