Serbia & Montenegro defender Nemanja Vidic will miss the Group C match against Argentina on Friday after suffering a knee injury in training.
The Manchester United player, who was due to return to the lineup after suspension, damaged his knee after sliding to collect a loose ball in training.
He was carried off in a lot of pain and while at first the injury was not thought to be too serious there are now concerns that he may miss the rest of the tournament.
Vidic was suspended for Serbia & Montenegro's opening 1-0 defeat by the Netherlands on Sunday.

Pity i was hoping to see him. How he plays for Serbia could be completely different to what we've seen of him for united. Is it me or do united's players at the world cup seem to be getting knocks?

Hopefully, he'll be fit for beginning of pre-season, I'm gutted for him missing out on the WC.

According to sky sports their squad is down 2 players now which can't be replaced, could hold them back a little should they get anywhere which of course is pretty unlikely in their group.

Aslong as he's ready for the start of our season, feel for him though he could have shown the world what he's about...
