Fergie: I might keep Ruud

tbh, im pretty fed up with ruud. hes given us a lot.. but for 2 seasons now he hasnt looked like the same man. yeh hes packed away a load of goals this season.. and maybe we'll struggle to score next season more.. but i think we're much better off without ruud.

since comin back from injury last season.. he jus didnt seem to be as sharp (i realise he was brought back too soon) and didnt see to care. his lack of effort and determination in the cup final against arsenal was embarrassin (and another reason to add to the list why i believe fergie didnt play him in the carling cup final).

this isnt an olive branch from fergie, no way. people may rant and rave about this bein another player fergie has "forced" out.. but fergie has behaved as id have expected any quality manager to.

I want him to go, however with this from Fergie yesterday and you'll remember the other day he said he has a new striker role for Alan Smith (surely thats what we got him for??) I fear that sealing a deal for another striker is failing dramatically.

Fingers crossed for Torres.

Maybe, but I wouldn't be so sure. I like Smith but he's not excatly a top striker and we've been playing him in the midfield so while he'll probably take to the role of stiker quickly it's still a big gamble and can he really be a striker that will come through in the CL? Torres already has world class competition which would help us tremendously. Atletico keep talking tough but it's also up to Torres and he hasn't committed to coming back which says a lot. I think he's definitely going and we've been the club he's linked with...oh and Inter, but would you want to go to a scandal-ridden league? I sure wouldn't.
