After Gaz retires or cant play regularly any more hu do you think will become captain and hu else could be captains after that? I know we havnt brought in the transfers yet but stick to players we already have.
I think after gaz it will be either rio or heinze for a bit and for afterwards it could be rooney, david jones or jonny evans.

I think Heinze would be a great captain, if Van Der Sar was younger I would have recommended him, and I guess in the not too different future Rooney seems like the perfect candidate.

After Nev, it will be either Ferdinand or Heinzé and after them Rooney, Bardsley or D.Jones.

Im being deadly serious, if Fletcher and Fergie are still about in a year or two it will be Fletch that gets it. I could quite easily see it happening lol.

though Rio's been there longer, I fancy Heinze getting the captaincy as he has that drive that can quickly motivate players. Rio's calm demeanor might serve well too, but I like Heinze's passion for the game. When Rooney matures then definitely him for the same reasons.

I think the captaincy will stick with somebody British, better to give it to someone in a defensive position so probably Rio.
Rooney as second choice purely to spare him the added resposibility he already has and will carry in internationals.

I think Rio will get it next. Then probably on to Mr Rooney.

I want Heinze to get it, but think Rio will get it. It's obvious Rooney will get it in the future as long as he matures a bit first, His passion and drive will make him a great captain.

heinze speaks fluent welsh. just thought id say. cant see bardsley as captain because he aint as good as simpson at right back or as pique and jonny evans at centre back and the captain really has to be an automatic choice

what you on about, he isnt as good as Simpson? to be fair, ive seen him play a couple of decent games for the academy and reserves, bardsley shows in every game why he has the potential to be Nevs successor
please dont tell me ur basing your opinion of simpson on his performance the other night??!
