If he stays fit? Sure, but to have Smith Rossia and Ole as backup isnt encouraging for the season, what if Sahas out for say 5 months?? We at least need a rotational striker or someone to challenge for the first team, I woudnt mind Defore tbh I think Fergie could make him shine Do you think that Defoe will want more as a rotational striker or to go to somewhere like Villa etc where he'll play every week. One of his main problems is that he's definitely a confidence player, and playing now and then doesn't suit him. Depends how he does, I think if Fergie got Defoes confidence going and mde him the player I think he could be and you may laugh but people did when I said we should sign Smith in like, 2000 and also Saha at the same time, so I dont care, but I think Defoe could be a seriously good striker, under the right guidance, give the lad a good run of games, if he plays well boost him with more games as a starter and I think he would do well Still flying the flag for Torres though lol

I've allways said Saha was a great forward hence the nic name saha ha ha, wich i'v had since we signed him. He has it all (incluiding brittle bones) but he is strong, Skillfull, quick and scores goals. Someone said he picks up the same position as Rooney too often, That's a fair comment, depending on wich games yor talking about, but they eventually linked up briliantly, with Saha taking up position wide right and left simular to Henry, and he was able to beat people, wich we've missed upfront with the likes of Rvn.
