So how you all think it will go. Been a long time since we beat Celtic so its going to be close.
Still though its going to be great to see Keano again. He has been a great player for us. The best I seen in the last decade.

Lol I think its going to be weird watching a game at Old Trafford that doesnt really count for anything. Am I going to get worked up about us scoring? Lol. Should be a great day, I really hope so. Will post pictures

It was an entertaining game, United beat Celtic 1-0, Ronaldo scoring after 55mins after Giggsy put him through. The atmosphere was great and Roy played the first half for Celtic and the second half for United. Log onto www.rte.ie/sport and you can watch the game there. It's available from Wednesday morning.

A fitting occasion for Captain Scarlet Keano. True united legend. #unitedbanner#

It was FAR FROM ENTERTAINING! - nothing like what a testimonial should be. No ex players came on No tricks or skills attempted No messing about it was about as dull as a testimonial could be. I was bored out of my mind.

I was bored out of my mind. If any United fan who watched the game tonight considered it a bore and dull then fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. My opinion differs though, i thought it was a highly entertaining game. I watched the game live and the two teams went for it from the start and the reason for this was that the atmosphere was electric-it was like a cup tie!! United's goal was by no means dull or boring. Giggs passed the ball with the outside of his foot, through to Ronaldo who put it away with a low drive. When i watched the replay, Giggs put a spin on the ball to allow it to go into Ronaldo's path. If we scored a goal like that in the Premiership or Europe we'd be raving about it. 70,000 there tonight and they didn't look bored to me.

Absolutelyfucking amazing. Went in to town at 6pm, and it was just green and white everywhere. I've never seen the centre of town like that before. Went to the Trafford for about 7 and got talking with loads of Celtic fans, they were so excited lol. It was funny, a group of about 20 of them went over to some reds and started singing "We hate Chelsea more than you!" lol. It was a brand new experience going to Old Trafford and seeing it like that. The whole of North Stand, as well as the away sections, full of Celtic fans. 69,000 were on their feet singing for the whole game, jumping up and down, and just generally having a laugh. There were Celtic fans dotted around the United sections as well though, so there was plenty of banter. The only disappointment was that it was just regular United players, and none of the legends. That surprised me. But United played well today. Was that Celtic's best team playing? Christ, if theyre the best team in Scotland Lol and for the first time this year, United actually looked like they had a proper midfield. Keane's still got it. Didnt really do anything for Celtic in the 2nd half, but it was magic watching Keane pass it to Scholes, who'd pass it to Giggs, who's play through Ole. I hadnt realised how much I'd missed Keane. Because we werent aware that his last game actually was his last, we'd just got used to him not being there. But it was pretty sad seeing him out there and knowing that was his last game. We were sat pretty near the away fans, and so as we were walking down the stairs, they were all leaning over the barriers, shaking our hands and patting our backs. Never seen anything quite like it with away fans lol.

That's a great post Scott, sounds like you really enjoyed it!
I agree with you about Keane, when he played for United in the second half he slotted into the midfield really easily and we actually looked the business in the centre of the park.
I wonder was Ferguson looking on and thinking 'We could have maybe held onto Roy?'

I think it was good that we lost Keane. It would have been better if he'd gone at the beginning of the season. But he's still got it, thats for sure. Seeing him and Scholes linking up again was brilliant.
