Well this should hit the message home that our midfield is utter shite...our first XI centre mids were out in SA and the Kaiser Chiefs were more than able to cope. Ok Scholes is still getting the running back into his legs but it was all a bit pants.
Saying that we were wasteful in front of goal as well lol.
Some of the youngers such as Bardsley, Evans etc looked good though and Evra seems to be settling a bit more now.

Am i right to feel gutted Utd lost this tournament. I always am when we lose mind, especially to opposition like this.
OK, this is not the first 11, but it was down to being so wasteful last season that we dropped so many points, and we've started this season in pretty much the same fashion.
Also, is any of the World Cup squad returning for the Celtic and PNE games or is that just for the Amsterdam tourny?

Well if you were to ask all of the players on the tour, they would have told you that they would have wanted to win this tournament i'm sure.
But never mind, City are behind, and Arsenal will lose in Bergkamp's Testimonial later anyway.

Im kind of annoyed that we lost dont get me wrong but all the same (although i didnt get to watch the matches) i keep hearing the young lads have done well, which is more important in my book. Plus they met Nelson Mandela for f**k sake!!!!

Lol, on MUTV now they are complaining because one of the Chiefs' players was substituted and still took a penalty.

Its a group of players who've never played as a team before on a tour mainly focused on getting fit and taking chances of first team football. Thats precisely what you saw, people being a little selfish trying to show their worth, not knowing their team mates.
Complaining, well, it isn't worth the breath really..

So, is the lesson here, don't let the goalkeeper take a penalty?

Ok Scholes is still getting the running back into his legs but it was all a bit pants. quote] to be fair we were missing Ronaldo and Park, which you convenientley forgot. 2nd of all, we had to play either Fletcher or Eagles on the right . Fletchers match fitness is more important than Chris's, seen as Fletch will be a more important player their. Darren Fletcher is at his best in the centre of midfield 3rdly Paul Scholes missed 50% of last season, we cant expect the old Scholesy of 3/4 years ago. cant beleive pessismism is coming out of this tour, its all about fitness, the games against Celtic/Preston/Ajax/Porto is when we need to start being concerned with performances
