Steele Bardsley-Evans-McShane-Simpson Martin-Miller-Gibson-Richardson Rossi-Solskajer
Its Prestons full stregnth squad and they are basically over-powering our youthful side. Some good play from Miller, Solskajer and Rossi though

Miller and Gibson arent really doing the job in the centre and there has been a few shakey moments from Mcshane. Rossi isnt getting and service, as isnt Solskjaer. Richardson and Martin have been average. Evans, Bardsley, Simpson and Steele have done OK. The goal was one that couldn't be stopped really (the strike). I was hoping Jones would get this game BUT he had a slight knock in training.

Opposite to the Celtic game so far; just haven't been able to get the ball into the forward players so far.

Maybe im being controversial here but I can't help but feel Rossi isn't ready to play in the first team regularly he just doesn't seem to have had much of an impact so far this pre season. He is just getting knocked off the ball or running into trouble in this game so far. Might just be me though....

It's certainly a big ask to expect Rossi to step up and perform consistantly at first team level but if you don't give him the time then you'll never know and I'm sure if he bags himself a goal he'll feel more relaxed and be able to perform better

People need to not expect too much from Rossi for the next 6 months or so. He has shone at reserve standard but the level between reserve and premiership is massive. Given time he will shine at premiership level.

Well thats what im saying, he is far from being the finished article and needs to go on loan playing regular football for 6 months, if he is rotating on the United bench and doesn't give a good account of himself earlier on it won't do him any favours.

Not a great performance but it was a good run out. Can't wait for Macclesfield on Monday! The likes of Rooney and scholes!

Not worried about the result or the performance, it was essentially our reserve team against one of the better teams of last years Fizzy pop league. The young one's tend to play better when they're more mixed in with seniors.
