Good to see that Ronaldo was all smiles and played well. Jones looked good but had too much space to work with so I couldn't really judge what he'd be like against a Prem team. Fletch was again good but Martin looked nervous. Bardsley had his first really good preseason match. Saha was alright but really not match sharp.

Just seen the goals on SSN, cracking goals all of them (well Fletcher's was a tad fortunate........) Nice to see us scoring from outside the box for all our goals - who needs goal poachers eh!?!?!? :-)

I went to see the game at Oxford and was really pleased by the sides performance, except some shit marking in the first half. I thought it was quite a nice stadium. Did anyone else go to the game?

David Jones played his bollocks off in commanding the midfield, he looks like the real deal (all-be-it with slightly large ears!) Ronaldo's first goal was a beltin volley after a "lay-off" (mis-controlled first touch) by Saha and the second was a pass past the keeper after a through ball from Jones. Solskajers goal was was volley after a lay off from Ronaldo. Fletchers goal was....well to be honest I don't really know what happened there. He hit it and the goalie just watched it sail past him. Bardsly looked like the next Gary Neville once again. Ben Foster was never really troubled. O'shea played well, went off at half time with an injury Silvestre looked sloppy, was skinned a few times. Heinze looked sharp-ish, with some more training and the Seville match he'll be back to his best. Ronaldo looked like he hadn't been away. Fletcher looked ok, thought he was the bollocks on pitch though. Richardson played solidly, looking better each game. Saha looked a bit blunt but he'll sharpen up by the Fulham game hopefully

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson praised Cristiano Ronaldo for his pre-season performance at Oxford United.
The Portugal international made his first appearance for The Red Devils since his controversial time at the World Cup.
The former Sporting Lisbon man lasted 72 minutes and scored two fine goals in United's 4-1 thrashing of their Nationwide Conference hosts at The Kassam Stadium on Tuesday evening.
"It was Cristiano's first game back and I thought he handled it very well," said Ferguson. "He took his goals very well.
"They were both great strikes and he got a terrific reception from the United supporters as well and all in all, he did very well."

Exactly what I wanted out of this match, nothing too big, just a good win over easy opposition and get the lads playing, especially Ronaldo.
Good to see.

I think it's going to be a massive season for Ronaldo this year, I really think he's going to have an absolute belter, last season was very difficult for him for a number of reasons but I think ultimately it will make him stronger and help him really come in to his own this season.
