has anyone noticed that smith changed his boots to the new adidas predator i like that alot of people i kno have the new ones not big fans of them..excessive ripping and the shape at your toes isnt great for shooting yea ?! well, what i'm certain about is that, ronaldo's boots r the lightest boots ever, so as if your just playin' with your socks. meanin' better control of the ball 'n bein' more comfy

Cracking goal by Scholes. I'm glad he's scored, because he's come very close from that sort of range quite a bit this season. Man what a sitter for Smith! Would have loved for that to go in. Saha didnt have his best game. Captain Rooney was spot on again today, which is great to see. Some classy football by United. Lol O'Shea and Richardson's goals were pretty funny though. The look on O'Shea's face when he realised he'd scored, ha. Ole is looking good. Carrick had a good game and played some clever passes. Defence looked great. Heinze has got some stiff competition for his place though! Evra was great again. Another clear cut penalty United were denied of tonight ;-/

Where was captain marvel tonight, not injured I hope?
Totally blatant penalty, we just don’t seem to get them anymore. I wonder if Rooney would have taken it. Apart from some nice one touch passes here and there I didn’t think the game was anything special. Perhaps I was hoping for goals, goals and more goals? Every time Scholes had the ball at the edge of FC’s penalty box I kept shouting ‘’Shoot, for fuck sake shoot, why won’t you shoot’’ … then he goes and scores, marvelous and then the other two goals, well, on an off night it would have only been 1 nil. Let’s hope Giggs and Ferdinand, are both fit for the Liverpool game.

Just not long got back, the M6 was clear all the way tonight add that to my old man driving like a nutter..."That's what the Turbos for" he says! Nice to see Scolesy back on the scoresheet, and tbh before the first I thought we'd have a similar night to last season versus Sunderland where their keeper would keep everything out, he was having a blinder until Richardson's goal!... Carrick and Scholes linked up well again didn't they, that partnership is improving and could produce wonders for United. CAPTAIN Rooney lol..he played well again, and is getting back to fitness. Saha was poor for the standards he's set this term, missed two one-on-ones?..Oh well let's hope he's storing 'em up for Sunday, eh? Practically through now, can't wait for Sunday...COME ON UNITED! What happened to Rio, Neville and Giggsy?...

Will Rio & Nev be ready for the Dippers? I think Giggsy was on the bench so he should be fine.

It was a decent performance tonight, we created a lot of chances but that cutting edge up front wasn't quite there and it took 2 pretty bizarre goals to settle it, hopefully they were all saving their finishes for weekend because we're going to have to be a bit more clinical. It was a good professional performance and it was nice we were able to take Saha, Scholes and Carrick off for a little rest. I wasn't too happy about having O'Shea and Fletcher both playing on the same side of the pitch but thankfully they didn't exploit it. Rooney seemed to enjoy himself tonight and was linking up really well with a lot of one touch stuff plus Scholesy got himself a goal so a job well done by the lads with plenty left in the tank for Liverpool ;D

FERGIE PRAISES TEAM COMPOSURESky SportsSir Alex Ferguson has praised Manchester United's maturing youngsters as they powered their way past FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League. The 3-0 victory at Old Trafford all but guaranteed The Red Devils' safe passage to the next stage of the tournament. United were forced into some late changes to the line-up just before kick-off, and Ferguson was pleased with the response he got from the team and particularly stand-in skipper Wayne Rooney. " We had a real nightmare in the warm-up, Rio Ferdinand cricked his neck and Ryan Giggs had some sickness before the game, so it was a real quandary of who to put in," Ferguson told Sky Sports News. "It happened so quickly, it was only 10 minutes from kick-off time and I'm looking around the outfield players. I thought 'Give it to someone who'll respond to it, who you'll get a reaction from', so we did that. "After that I thought about Edwin van der Sar with his experience and personality, I overlooked that, but nonetheless we won and everyone shared that after the game." Paul Scholes set up the win with a stunningly struck first in the 38th minute and Ferguson was impressed with the midfielder and the younger side developing around him. "It's Paul's first goal of the year, obviously he missed the second half of last season, and John O'Shea's first of the season so it's always healthy that," the Scotsman added. "They were quite a decent technical side and we spoke about that before the game and watched videos of them and we realised if you gave them a lot of time they can play. "The most important thing for us was our attacking impetus we had good speed and penetration. We made a lot of chances, which is good. "It's important to keep our momentum going, we're top of the group. We want to win all the games and if we win there then we're through." United take on Copenhagen away next in the competition, as they look to book their place in the next round with a win on November 1. ----------

well...after reading alot of the postings all over the net (forums, websites, blogs, myspace, etc etc etc), I have this to say about the game and other things that will affect united later on.
Today's game was good, but not at all upto the par. Alot of the players faired well in the competition. Rooney, took the captaincy well, and it shows what might now be a part of his future.
VDS made some really good saves so like always, he performed well. His judgement in coming out of the box to kick the ball away when it was most needed, was correct and well timed. It also showed alot of confidence when he dribbled a little in the 25 yard box. A very important and good sign from him.
I was hoping for a better display by our defence. They weren't as lively and alert as I would have expected them to be. Evra and Vidic both played well and with good saves. But c'mon we are better than that!I might be being a little crtical, but against a side like Copenhagen, the defence should have been playing better. Ferdinand or not, we should have been better. If we played the same against sides like Chelsie then VDS might end up in a little trouble.
Moving on to the midfield, I thought that we played really well and it is where we turned the tables in our favor. Good action and good possession of the ball. But, nonetheless, there was a definate room for improvement, which I think we might need when we play against the other giants of football. Ofcourse, Giggs' and Neville's presence will be a huge factor in the coming games. I was looking for a better play from Carrick. Alot of mistakes and not something I am used to seeing in him. Substitute, Richardson, looked a little nervous on the field. Does he play like this? His body language did not suggest a very confident player. He scored for us and that is great, but it does not help diminish my view of his performance.
As for the strikers, I was a little disappointed with the missed chances. I think a little more co-ordination and understanding between the players might be in order. Rooney played fantastic which is a clear sign of his return as a match winner. He handled the "skippership" pretty well or, as Fergie said, he responded well to the challenge. Scholes' fabulous goal gives him my accolades for the strike, and the lucky O'Shea and Richardson also get a good pat on the back from me. My disappointment is with Saha, my winger (we share the same number of shirt n mainly play the same side n position, thus the disappointment)...I am a striker and I know that he could have easily flicked the ball in to the goal. That "goof-up" was not something that I was expecting from him. Ronaldo played well, with confidence, made a few mistakes but very good performance. I was also hoping for a Solskjaer goal, but alas, not all prayers can come true.
But in all my dear friends, it was a good match, but not something that I think will define or give us a look into the upcoming games (other than the fact that we will win again against them in the next championship game on Nov. 1st). We have alot of work to do and I think that the upcoming game against the Liverfool will shed some light on how well we will fair in the season ahead.
Well, these are my opinions. I might be a bit crtical, but I want to see us lifting that trophy again. It ours and It belongs to us!!! All THREE of them!! I hope you see if through my eyes. Thanks for reading. ...and until next time, C'mon you Reds!!!

Rio and Giggsy have already been explained... we tried to get Neville with us though on the bench, but because we didn't tell UEFA about the changes quick enough it wasn't allowed, hence why nev wasn't playing or a sub. They should all be back for the dippers match though

With the upcoming rumours of Jones leaving the club he should be given the chance to sink or swim to proof hes worth or to rise his price! At least in such easy games!
