Is it just me or had Silvestre stolen Fletch's recently discovered mojo? He actually played better than Evra from what I saw. No. Evra was as solid as his recent performances would suggest. Cracking little player.

Carrick, Roo and ROn have all gone off for Silvestre, O'Shea and Fletcher That realy killed the croud, i think most left after those subs Carrick looked a bit out of place in the first half, second was a little better.

Too easy. Really too easy. United are playing amazing football at the moment. Didnt keep up for the pace for the whole 90 minutes, but then, they didnt need to. Pompey forced one save from Van Der Sar in the first 45 (and it was a good strike as well!) but other than that, United were left to roam wherever they wanted.
The penalty was given at the other end of the pitch, so I cant really comment too much on it. Didnt look like the defender got the ball, but dont know how much he got on Rooney. Good penalty by Louis, GREAT freekick from Ronaldo, and easy finish for Vidic from a superb Neville cross. I think it tells you something about a game when Neville has three decent chances to score!
Should have got more. James made a couple of really good saves. Got stick from us all game. Andy Cole got a chant or two when he came.
All in all, great stuff. Great win from United, we just need to keep it going.
United, top of the league, United United top of the league!

Got back from the pub a little while ago and a great start to my Saturday. A very good performance form us the first half; we kept control of the game, intercepted and defended well not to mention creating some very nice chances. Nev should have scored 4...LOL. I was hoping Roo would have gotten one but he played well and penetrated Pompey's defense pretty easily. Evra looked very good out there and Vidic...well he was solid AND scored a goal. We played some very good football and we keep adding to our goal differential so if it comes down to that at the end of the season we will embarrass Chelsea and their 30 mil "striker"... WE SHALL NOT WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED WE SHALL NOT WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED JUST LIKE A TEAM THAT'S GOING TO WIN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE (AGAIN!) [glow=red,2,300]WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED!!![/glow]

"Hate It Or Love It The Underdogs STILL On Top!!!..."
Just listening to that song for the for the first time in ages, and it's really fitting for our season. It's probably only one time where United have been underdogs for the league and we're on top, let's hope it's still that way at the end of the season, eh?

First 15 min i can't remember Pompey even touching the ball except for James getting it from the back of the net. Before the season I said Vidic was gonna make an impact can't say he has let me down

Cracking little player. Didn't say he wasn't. All I said was I thought Silvestre played very well, maybe even better than Evra. That's not a crime is it? Also, was I the only one who was thinking it would be brilliant if Cole had just thought "fuck it" and played a little one two with Saha and smacked it into Pompey's net. I wold have payed good money to see that goal ;D.

Good performance. Now if Alex messes with the starting eleven against Blackburn, I think I might go a little crazy.

Yeah, I'd keep the same team for Blackburn and then maybe introduce Fletcher to add some bite in the midfield when/if we go ahead.

Just got back, quality performance. Started off like a repeat of the Bolton game. Red Nev needs drug testing- up and down like a mad man, plus i think he's confusing himself with a forward. The game got a bit boring at the end after the entertainment killers came on- O'Shea and Fletch.
