Another good result, I'm glad we played a full team but it's shame we couldn't wrap things up and get a few off earlier, we created enough good chances to finish them off and if the ref was half decent we would have had one pen at least but we got the three points so all's good. Again though we saw that Fergie doesn't really have any faith in his bench as the only sub he made was Evra off for Heinze.

Ronaldo couldn't miss that last chance again if he tried. Another great result, our away form has been nothing short of exceptional so far. Winning everything except the one draw against Reading.

This was such an important win before playing Chelsea, a little comfort zone with the goal difference and 3 points now. ;D Saha seemed to go down too easy not for the penalty shouts but a few other occasions where he could have made something happen, shame. You could just see a Smith or Solskjaer perfect to bring on after the 2nd goal went in, Park would have been great as well, O'Shea and Fletcher instead, anyone?

yeah but to be fair neither do we! unfortunately we're not in a position to do anything about that though are we, where as you would hope Fergie is and will do something about it as soon as possible because I don't like being so reliant on the same 11 players.

What I am really happy about (other than the 3 very important points) is that we did not pick up any injuries. Had any of our aces had been injured, we would've been in trouble.
As for Saha, I thought we played really well, getting the ball in and making all the assists. His cross to Rooney was picture perfect!! He played real well. Rooney too got in almost all the time and made sure that the ball was in play. I can say that other than my disappointment in the first 12 minutes, we played really good. I would certainly like our defense to get better.

Right on target Redom. I am hoping that Fergie will bring in some new guns to the squad. For the bench's sake I wish they do a better job when they are called for duty against Celtics n Chutskis...especially against the latter freaks.

We played well and had many opportunities to score but we must have gotten a case of ARSE Syndrome...Ronaldo broke my heart twice with those easy shots but so it goes. There was no question as to who the better team on the pitch was, though Jagielka was doing a lot of work for Sheffield at the back. They defended well but you can't defend for 90 minutes so we got our due. This was an important match for us and now there's a lead to defend against Chelsea.

Thanks to Scott for making the Shout Box possible, that was lots of fun! And of course to Suffix for making the suggestion! #thumb#

our first eleven are magnificent but what we have in reserve is a worry. the dilemma for fergie is that WE won't accept squad signings, we want the best players in the world as back ups and these days the only players you will get for that role are mercenaries who I doubt anyone on here wants.
to be honest I don't know who i'd want as a sub apart from ole of course!

For the bench's sake I wish they do a better job when they are called for duty against Celtics n Chutskis...especially against the latter freaks. Maybe Fergie is thinking more along the lines of who's to come back, if you imagine forward a bit with a full squad, the bench would be something like: Kuszczak, Heinze, Brown, Park, Solskjaer with options of Smith, Fletcher, Silvestre, Richardson and O'Shea. Having said that, i still agree it needs strenghening a little, one or two more wouldn't go amiss, replacing O'Shea or adding one more to the centre mid as a minimum. There are also others possibly returning on loan, the likes of: Rossi, Bardsley, Martin, Dong, Evans and Eagles. What i'm disappointed about is Fergie knew about Parks injury whilst the window was still open, he knew about Solskjaer taking time to get back and getting older and he knew Smith would take time, yet he loaned out all those players and decided not to buy anymore after letting the Hargreaves saga stretch the entire summer. So if you had to choose from a bench of: Kuszczak, Heinze, Brown, Park, Solskjaer, Smith, Fletcher, Silvestre, Richardson, O'Shea, Rossi, Bardsley, Martin, Dong, Evans and Eagles; would people still want the squad strengthening? I would in some areas!
